Enterprise Medical Recruiting is assisting a large group with locations in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino counties, California, to recruit an Urgent Care physician with a background in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Occupational Medicine (CA license preferred, 2-3 months to credential) for urgent care/industrial medicine position with the possibility to expand primary care services. The incoming provider will only be staffing one, possibly 2, of the 11 clinic locations. The position is outpatient only, and the provider would be joining a group established over 34 years ago and currently has 50-plus providers in varying specialties, including Orthopedics, PM&R, Pain Management, Neurology, Psychology, and general surgery.
Opportunity Highlights
Handsome monthly guarantee - independent contractor position.
High earning potential (take home 35% of collections) $400k+ is possible.
Eleven clinical locations (staffing one, possibly two close locations).
Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6 pm schedule with a lunch break - No Nights or Weekends.
Limited administrative responsibilities with a focus on client relations and growth.
The patient base is largely industrial and personal injury, with the opportunity to expand.
Additional training provided in industrial medicine leading to additional state certification (QME - high-value exams).

Who you are
Required

PACE is an ideal job for a clinician, as it allows you to spend ample time engaging with and truly caring for patients without the mis-aligned incentives of fee-for-service.
Essential Job Duties:
Provide primary care and acute illness evaluation and treatment for a panel of approximately 150 participants
Perform comprehensive assessments for participants and coordinate with the IDT to develop a comprehensive care plan for each participant
Be an engaged member of the IDT, communicating participant changes, collaborating on care planning arrangements, and coordinating 24-hour care delivery
Work collaboratively with network providers and other members of the IDT to ensure effective care coordination, particularly around hospital discharge, short-term, and long-term placement
Provide direction and guidance to Nurse Practitioners
Oversee participants' use of medical specialists and inpatient care
Participate in rotating night and weekend call
Oversee all care of participants in the nursing home, providing regular visits as dictated by PACE standards and participants' needs
Review outcome and utilization data, including adverse events, hospitalizations, and use of specialists, in collaboration with the IDT to identify opportunities for improved care and operations

The Primary Care Physician provides medical care to participants and leadership for the PACE team. The PCP provides guidance and education to interdisciplinary team (IDT) members regarding medical issues and works collaboratively with clinic leadership and site managers to ensure effective clinic and site medical care. The Primary Care Physician role models a collaborative partnership with the family and other caregivers to ensure that all the participant's medical and non-medical care needs are met.
The salary range for the Primary Care Physician position at Center For Elders Independence is $ 198,000 - $ 316,000 per yr. Salary based on the market for the Primary Care Physician position, as well as experience, skills, abilities and work history
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides comprehensive coordinated medical care as guided by the PACE benefit to include:
Conducts comprehensive initial, 6 month, annual and periodic assessments of program participants.
Participates with interdisciplinary team in development and implementation of participants' care plans.
Reviews and signs care plans every 6 months.
Collaborates with and supervises as appropriate and necessary CEI nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Conducts quarterly reviews and care of other medical issues as feasible in between assessments.
Updates care plans per policies and procedures as new problems arise.
Updates IDT with regard to participant medical issues as needed in frequent team meetings.
Participates in IDT discussions, care conferences, and family meetings as needed.

Arranges appropriate follow-up including or consulting with participants' family and support network.
Oversees optimal specialist referral and care coordination, guided by close collaboration with participants and by what matters most to them.
Provides on-call telephonic medical services to participants for after-hours coverage on a rotating basis
Coordinates Care of hospitalized participants with hospitalist physicians.
Guides appropriate use of hospital and emergency department services and coordinates discharge with the Continuing Care Service Committee and IDT members.
Manages care of participants in nursing homes as assigned and may assume primary responsibility for nursing home participants.
