Establish and maintain scheduled office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation and consultation.
Provide service to the College community and students through serving on College committees, providing leadership, mentorship and expertise to students, participating in community outreach events and with professional organizations or groups as assigned by the Dean or Department Chair.
Participate in curriculum development, assessment and modification as a part of the college's ongoing quality improvement and assessment program.
Participate in the assessment or evaluation of and provide feedback to other members of the faculty as a component of the college's ongoing quality improvement and assessment program.
Participate in the assessment and evaluation of students and residents, provide feedback and remedial assistance to ensure that the student of ACHE meet the standards established by the faculty and college and obtain the knowledge, skills and competency required.

Physician Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat new patients and follow-up patients for Wound Care services.
Order testing and lab that is needed to evaluate the patient wound and underlying conditions
Interpret all test results ordered
Diagnosis of patient health condition related to the wound and any underlying diagnosis affecting the wound healing process using ICD-10
Create a Plan of Care for the patients and coordinate with the patients' health care team
Communicate with the patients' PCPs and specialists as needed
Communicate with patients and family members with regard to the patients throughout their treatment plans
Provide referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
Supervise Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments
Perform advanced modalities and procedures as patient care requires. (debridement, grafts, etc.)
Document services in a timely and accurate manner
Provide quality care while complying with policies and procedures within your scope of practice
Requirements beyond applicable state licenses:
Active Arkansas state license preferred
HBO certification. HMS will pay for course fees and travel expenses, if required, to attend the wound care and HBO certification course in San Antonio, Texas. HBO certification is required to allow supervision of HBO medicine dives
Experience in wound care a plus

Responsibilities
* Meets with hospitalist on call at start of shift to determine which patients the physician extender will be seeing for the day.
* Rounds on assigned patients in the hospital including discussion with the patient and other relevant family/caregivers. All of these assigned patients will be seen and examined by the attending physician each day.
* Obtains medical history and performs the appropriate physical examination to establish a working problem list.
* Assesses patients at an advanced level, identifies health status including abnormal conditions, establishes a diagnosis, develops and implements treatment plans and evaluates client outcomes.
* Orders or performs the appropriate laboratory or diagnostic testing.
* Orders or performs routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care.
* Prescribes legend drugs, therapeutic devices, and controlled substances (Schedule III-V) as permitted under Arkansas Law, in accordance with written protocols and/or delgation agreement.
* Collaborates with multidisciplinary health team members to provide comprehensive care to inpatients and initiates consultations to other services as needed.
* Provides education to hospital inpatients and families as needed.
* Documents progress notes, discharge summaries, and care provided in the patient's medical record, which will be cosigned by the attending physician each day.
* Discusses any issues which require guidance or approval from the attending hospitalist regarding treatment or diagnostic testing on assigned patients and notifies the attending physician of any worsening of medical condition on assigned patient.
* Participates in the formulation of Standards of Care, Protocols, procedures, and structure standards.
* Performs other functions and procedures at the direction of the attending physician for which the physician extender is trained and which are within the scope of the physician's specialty.

Formal evaluation will normally be performed annually, but may be initiated at other times by the Chief Executive Director or the Medical Director. Required to obtain a minimum of 30 hours of category I CME annually.
