North Carolina Cardiovascular Surgery PA-C/NP-C Assignment- No Call Requirements Join a stable inpatient surgical team in North Carolina for a rewarding interim assignment focusing on floor-based adult patient care. Highlights No call requirements for a better work-life balance. Temporary privileges available for candidates with an active NC license. Support from a large clinical team including 3 other APPs. Travel and lodging accommodations provided for the duration of the assignment. Practice Setting Inpatient medical setting across two worksites. Adult patient population focus. Collaborative environment with 15 RNs and a full office staff. Solely managing floor patients with no ICU coverage required. Schedule 7-on/7-off block scheduling available - enjoy every other week off. Ongoing need for coverage starting in early spring. Daylight hours only with a minimum 40-hour work week. No weekend call or evening response needed. Procedures and Cases Inpatient rounding, consults, and admissions/discharges. Bedside procedures limited to chest tube removal and pleurodesis. No surgical or operating room responsibilities required. Manage a consistent volume of 8-14 patients per shift. Requirements Open to Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with an active compact license. Minimum of 24 months of specialty experience. Active ACLS and BLS certifications required. Must be board-certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for consideration Credentialing Requirements 90-day standard credentialing timeframe.
