Provides direct clinical care to patients. Prescribes/orders medications, therapies; orders/interprets laboratory tests, x-rays and procedures according to clinical privileges. Provides comprehensive teaching to patients and families. Documents in the medical record all care and education provided and/or procedures performed for which the Licensed Advanced Practice Provider is responsible. Refers to other disciplines as appropriate. Consultant to other disciplines in areas of expertise. Integrates research based knowledge and clinical expertise in decision making. Advocate for patients, families, coworkers, and the community. Minimum Qualifications: Work schedule: 8 hour shifts: Monday thru Friday Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with minimum of 2 years' experience Board Certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Maintains necessary CME requirements. Licensed or eligible for licensing as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia Active or eligible for DEA license BLS, ACLS for Critical Care Preferred Qualifications: One or more years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an Inpatient, Surgical, or Critical Care setting Applicants may be considered for current and future opportunities including full time, part time and PRN positions. Compensation Range The compensation range for this position is $200-250 per hour commensurate with experience.
