Attention all PhysicianAssistants, we are calling you to partner with us as independent contractors providing services to our Military Service members. We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of on an "as needed basis".
Under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) we provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:
U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
Army National Guard (ARNG)
U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
Air National Guard (ANG)
U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)
Responsibilities:
Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health.
Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member's medical record using a proprietary system.
Requirements
Supervising Physician may required depending on the state requirement
Active PA license in the state
CPR/BLS Certification
Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred
Experience with mobile medical services - preferred
Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology - preferred
Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
Able to work extended hours
Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
Able to travel, with weekend availability - preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic computer knowledge and skills
Not Required - Diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications

Essential Functions:
Performs all duties and responsibilities required of a PhysicianAssistant and provides quality, cost-effective care for the designated patient population in accordance with accepted healthcare standards and protocols, licensing regulations, and accreditation standards.
Performs initial assessments, medication reviews, consultations, and coordinates care with treatment teams.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
Masters in PhysicianAssistant Studies from a nationally accredited university.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Training:
Master's Degree in Nursing OR a Masters in PhysicianAssistant studies
Work Experience:
1 to 3 years' experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in a clinical setting is preferred.
Prior procedural or surgical experience (pulmonary medicine, IR, first assist, critical care, thoracic surgery) is preferred.
Experience with imaging review and ultrasound-guided procedures
Ability to work autonomously, collaborate across disciplines, and support program growth
Certification, Licensure, Registration:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Patient Care and Assessment: Perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing care management for residents, focusing on preventive care and chronic disease management.
* Routine Rounds and Monitoring: Conduct regular rounds to assess residents' conditions, adjust treatment plans, and address any emergent health concerns.
* Care Coordination: Collaborate with facility staff, family members, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care tailored to the residents' needs.
* Patient Education: Educate residents, families, and facility staff on disease prevention, wellness, and managing chronic illnesses to support better health outcomes.
* Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
* Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery, reduce hospital readmissions, and optimize patient satisfaction within the facility.

Qualifications
* Valid nurse practitioner or physicianassistant license in state of operations & current board certification in your field
* Masters Degree in Nursing or PhysicianAssistant Studies
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills preferred.

* Must possess traits of punctuality, organizational skills, and ability to function within a team.

We are seeking Nurse Practitioners or PhysicianAssistants to perform mobile advanced wound care services for our patients. You will travel locally within your designated region to see our patients in their homes or SNFs.
This position is looking for candidates living in Detroit, MI and be willing to drive to see patients in this area in their homes. The territory for this role will service patients in throughout Detroit area.
Must be licensed as an NP or PA in MI.
This is not a remote position. Must be willing and able to drive to patient homes to provide wound care.

Responsibilities:
Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to best treat the patient
Perform wound care procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for plan of care
Define and document patient diagnoses
Assure all patients are completely satisfied
Patient education and management
Debridement of wounds by various methods completed safely during the patient visit
Application of topical wound care and other wound management products
Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart, including follow-up notes
Qualifications:
Current state license as an NP or PA
CPR Certified
Effective communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Must have a valid driver's license and minimum state required liability auto insurance; local travel is required
