Our hospital medicine division is comprised of 11 pediatric hospital medicine physicians. Our division provides coverage for inpatient pediatric services at Covenant Children's Hospital, University Medical Center Children's Hospital, and Trustpoint rehabilitation hospital. Our division acts as the primary admitting team for many of our pediatric subspecialists and participates in co-management with many of the surgical specialists at each of our hospital sites. We are currently growing a hospitalist-run sedation service at Covenant Children's for children undoing procedures or sedated imaging. Our division works closely with the TTUHSC medical school and pediatric residency program providing oversight on inpatient rotations, education in hospital medicine, and mentorship. We have a well-established, accredited PHM fellowship program with one fellow per year. We are committed to training students, residents, and fellows to be successful in their future careers and place a strong focus on education and evidence-based practices.
