POSITION SUMMARY:
The Neurosurgery NP/PA will work closely with the supervising physician to perform histories, physical exams, pre and postoperative care, patient education, and discharge. The Neurosurgery Practitioner also will serve as first assistant in surgery, hospital rounding, ED rounding, developing postoperative treatment and discharge plans including but not limited to teaching patient self-care techniques.

Licensure through the CaliforniaPhysicianAssistant Board of the Medical Board of California as a physicianassistant.
Applicant must have completed a physicianassistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the PhysicianAssistant (ARC-PA).

Current BLS certification and ACLS certification.
National board certification by the National Commission on Certification of PhysicianAssistants (NCCPA) at the time of initial appointment.
