We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or PhysicianAssistant to join our Urgent Care teams in South Weymouth and Pembroke! This NP or PA will support team coverage and pick up open shifts at these sites located at 541 Main Street in South Weymouth, MA and 15 Corporate Park Drive in Pembroke, MA.
Our Urgent Care Centers are designed to provide walk-in service for minor conditions such as allergies, respiratory infections, sore throats, sports injuries, minor cuts and bruises, and various illnesses requiring immediate non-emergency medical care in the South Shore region south of Boston. Our qualified, friendly health care providers treat adults and children (age 6 months and up). We know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our clinics are open seven days a week, and most visits last less than an hour, so our patients can get back to what matters. Our operating hours are weekdays from 8:00am-7:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am-3:30pm, and Sundays 9:00am-1:00pm.
Schedule Expectations: Our per-diem APPs must complete a minimum of 3 shifts per month, with at least one of those shifts being on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Additionally, we are open most major holidays, so we request coverage availability of one holiday per year. We are closed on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, and New Years Day.

In collaboration with a physician, the Oncology NP/PA manages outpatient care. The NP/PA is responsible for acute and chronic problems associated with such disease, treatment and/or conditions. The NP/PA provides anticipatory guidance, patient and family education, and psychological and emotional support. The NP/PA has prescriptive authority which includes schedule II through V controlled substances in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The NP/PA is a member of an interdisciplinary care team that requires effective communication and collaboration with co-workers at the Institute in addition to collaborating institutions and agencies. Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive evaluation, assessment, and management of infants, children, and adolescents admitted to PIMCU and/or CCS with acute, chronic, and medically complex conditions.
* Serve as a primary provider, facilitating daily patient care including medical histories, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluation, and development and implementation of evidence-based treatment plans.
* Actively participate in multidisciplinary rounds, including patient presentation and coordination of care with consulting services.

This NP or PA will support team coverage and pick up open shifts at these sites located at 541 Main Street in South Weymouth, MA and 15 Corporate Park Drive in Pembroke, MA.
Our Urgent Care Centers are designed to provide walk-in service for minor conditions such as allergies, respiratory infections, sore throats, sports injuries, minor cuts and bruises, and various illnesses requiring immediate non-emergency medical care in the South Shore region south of Boston. Our qualified, friendly health care providers treat adults and children (age 6 months and up). We know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our clinics are open seven days a week, and most visits last less than an hour, so our patients can get back to what matters. Our operating hours are weekdays from 8:00am-7:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am-3:30pm, and Sundays 9:00am-1:00pm.
Schedule Expectations: Our per-diem APPs must complete a minimum of 3 shifts per month, with at least one of those shifts being on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Additionally, we are open most major holidays, so we request coverage availability of one holiday per year. We are closed on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, and New Years Day.

When you join our team you will work with a supportive group of Advanced Practice Providers, Attending Physicians and Fellows. You will be responsible for taking care of Pre and Post-operative highly acute cardiac patients, along with children who have cardiac medical needs in the intensive care unit. We have an extensive Orientation Program to prepare you for taking care of these critically ill patients and to thrive here at Boston Children's. * Providing care to infants, children, and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease.
