During the shifts, (including the weekend days) the NP/PA will respond or assist with Category I or II traumas, inpatient rounding, see consults, see follow-up patients in the trauma office suite (not Saturday or Sunday), and first assist the trauma surgeon in OR. The work schedule for the weekend is from 7am-7pm on Saturday & Sunday & no more than every other weekend -it can be one in 3 as some surgeons do not utilize the NP/PA on the weekend. On the weekend, the NP/PA can leave the facility as work will allow, however must be able to respond within 30 minutes.
