Responsibilities
Provide full-scope outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care
Perform gynecologic surgery in office and hospital settings
Participate in a collaborative OB/CNM care model with CNM hospitalists
Manage call responsibilities as part of a shared rotation
Collaborate across clinical and support teams to deliver excellent patient experiences
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Schedule
1:4 call rotation with CNM support (call can be paired with clinic days)
2.5 clinic days + 1 surgery day per week

General Summary:

Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.

About Us Meet Dr. Gurgen
Dr. Johnny Gurgen graduated with honors from Kean University in New Jersey before getting a medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Responsibilities
Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
Accurately bill and code patient care per the Evaluation and Management Guidelines as set forth by Medicare.
In collaboration with a preceptor physician, manage acute and chronic care of patients presenting for treatment and diagnosis for pain.
Direct patient care by performing a patient assessment, review of systems and physical examination.
Utilize the data obtained to develop a plan of care to include patient and family education, proper referrals, and evaluating the effectiveness of care, accomplished in conjunction with the health care team and supported by the appropriate documentation for compliance with regulatory standards.
Recommend/dispense appropriate pharmacologic agents and treatments under the terms of the protocol agreement with the preceptor physician.
