1. Clinical Care * The Physician Assistant (PA) or the Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs throughout the disease process as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team. 4. Quality Management * The NP/PA is expected to demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care. * Ensures compliance with patient related healthcare regulatory requirements, standards and recommendations.
5. Job Summary
We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team! As a Physician Assistant, you will be working closely with and under the supervision of the MD, treating patients with acute to sub-acute musculoskeletal, neurologic and orthopedic injuries. This position involves minimal opioid management.
You will be examining patients, collecting patient medical history, and making tentative diagnoses. You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, taking the time with each patient to explain their test results and medical diagnoses, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform complete, detailed and accurate histories.
Perform orthopedic, musculoskeletal and neurologic examinations.

Interpret and evaluate patient data to determine medical diagnoses and develop treatment plan.
Write prescriptions for medications and medical equipment.

Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, stroke, shock, and convulsions.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Comply with current federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Develop health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and professional growth opportunities.
