Responsibilities: About the Role During a visit that can last up to one hour, Matrix providers review and observe a member's current health, medical history, medication adherence, social environment and other risks. This provides unmatched insight into a member's overall health and well-being that can be difficult to capture during routine office visits. The Matrix Comprehensive Health Assessment (CHA) helps to improve quality of care and allows us to potentially close multiple care gaps with a single visit. Our providers: Conduct adult / geriatric assessments to include medical history, diagnosis and treatment, health education, physician referrals, case management referrals, follow-up and clear documentation according to Matrix guidelines and protocols Administer and order point of care and lab-based testing as needed Work with physicians, case managers, social workers, family members, key caregivers, and ancillary medical personnel as appropriate Collaborate with Primary Care Physician (PCP) on patient education and follow up as necessary Provide services at the member's place of residence which can be in their homes or Skilled Nursing Facilities Benefits of Working at Matrix Consistency - Although we conduct assessments Sunday - Saturday from 8 am - 7 pm, our full-time (FT) providers typically work Monday - Friday from 8:00 to 5:30. Competitive Pay - Earn an annual base salary ranging from $95,500 - $158,400 based on market compensation analysis and experience. Incentive Program - Includes monthly (uncapped) and year end incentive opportunities. What you'll do / what you can expect in a typical day: Provide medical services onsite and virtually at ADP's Health & Wellness Center in our downtown Norfolk office with prescriptive authority and dispensing privileges within an NP/PA's scope of practice. Function as an independent healthcare provider under a collaborative agreement/supervisory agreement with ADP physician(s). Evaluate and manage acute and chronic illnesses with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention to ADP associates. Perform preventive health counseling including nutrition, exercise, weight management, smoking cessation, etc. Participate in and promote onsite wellness programs for ADP associates. Supervise operations when the Physician Manager is not available onsite, including Medical Assistant staff supervision. Perform health assessments of work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU MUST: Be a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, with at least 3 years of clinical experience in family practice/internal medicine, occupational medicine, or urgent care. Have a current medical license to practice in Virginia. Have a current DEA and NPI number as well as BLS/CPR certification. Be able to function independently and as part of a team with excellent communication skills. Have experience with Electronic Medical Records and healthcare technology.
