The hospital rotation consists of patient rounds (physical exam, review of labs, testing, medications) along with a partnered physician, and ordering appropriate testing, medications, or consultations. It also includes admitting, discharging, and cardiovascular consultations in accordance with all established protocols and standards of care.
Office rotation consists of follow-up appointments with established patients in the Utica or satellite offices, with approximately two patients per hour. Consultations with new patients will also be scheduled and the mid-level again is partnered with a physician for collaboration while conducting office visits/appointments.

7. If required by the supervising physician, assisting the physician in the inpatient setting by conducting patient rounds, participating in the surgical suite, recording progress notes, determining and implementing therapeutic plans jointly with the supervising physician, in addition, compiling and recording pertinent narrative case summaries.
7. May be exposed and responsible for the handling of hazardous drugs.
9. Attends OSHA training upon initial employee orientation and annually completes an OSHA competency.
