The One Medical Virtual Medical Team (VMT) is a leading provider of virtual clinical care, providing world-class, convenient, evidence-based virtual medical care to One Medical patients in concert with their primary care providers. What you'll be working on:
Treating patients via tele-health visits, including telephonic triage calls, video visit appointments, and email follow-ups
Continuous learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and through other modalities
Ongoing collaboration with both virtual and in-office teammates via daily huddles
Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to give exceptional care to patients virtually
Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:
Completed an accredited PA program with a national certification
Currently licensed in DC with ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed
In the past 5 years, practiced as an Advanced Practitioner for at least:
2 years in an outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0+), OR 2 years in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting seeing patients of all ages (0+) Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts (every other Saturday and Sunday required)
Ability to work afternoons and evenings (current shifts range from 6a - 5p or or 9a - 8p or 11a - 10p)

The base hourly range for this role is $56.50 to $63.00 per hour based on a full-time schedule plus evening and weekend differential. The University Health Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship is a 12-month, postgraduate training program for certified, licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
During their training, fellows will rotate through medical, surgical-trauma, neuro, cardiothoracic and transplant intensive care units, along with various other sub-specialties, exposing them to a multitude of health conditions. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
General Bread-and-Butter Orthopedics
Call Schedule:7 days/month
OR Time:Flexible based on surgeon's preferences and scheduling
Setting:Single clinic site; inpatient rounding exclusively at UM Charles Regional
Tools & Support:Hospital willing to support needed equipment (e.g., X-ray machine)
Growth Opportunity:Mid-level provider support to be added as volume grows
Rehabilitation Services:Integrated PT support both inpatient and outpatient
Community Leadership:Be a vital part of strengthening a key service line for a well-respected community hospital
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, efficient, cost-effective, and compassionate care to assigned patients
Maintain complete and timely documentation of all patient services in accordance with established standards
Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs
Supervise administrative responsibilities of non-physician team members
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including HR, billing, coding, and training standards
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines (OSHA, CLIA, labor laws, etc.)
Collaborate on budget planning and review practice expenditures
Uphold the written goals and objectives of UM Charles Regional
Promote a courteous, respectful atmosphere and enhance patient satisfaction and hospital reputation
Represent the practice in the community through speaking engagements, volunteerism, and outreach efforts
Work cooperatively with hospital administration to adapt scheduling or practice style as needed to improve patient access and satisfaction
Engage indisease management programsand population health efforts to drive better outcomes
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required.
Possesses and maintains current Board Certification within practicing specialty required.
Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.
Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.
Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
Demonstrates appropriate qualifications and experience to perform the duties required of this position.
2 plus years of experience as an Orthopedic MD.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels hospital staff, patients, visitors, and levels of staff.
