Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Educator NP/PA & Travel Nurse you will:
Provide Physiatry Services In Post Acute Facilities: Provide interim clinical coverage at Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) nationwide for providers on extended leave. This will be ~50% of the job (decreasing as the company grows).
Train and educate new NPs and PAs on the principles and procedures of physiatry, including joint and trigger point injections, spasticity treatments, and various pain management strategies. This will be ~50% of the job (increasing as the company grows).
Facilitate successful integration by introducing new providers to facility administrators and primary care teams, helping them establish excellent working relationships.
Provide guidance on developing efficient patient rounding schedules and streamlined charting processes as well as the skills needed to perform treatments, even to providers inexperienced in physiatry and new graduates.
Travel extensively (48-50 weeks per year, Monday through Friday; longer only if the interim clinical coverage requires a longer stay - but rarely longer than 2 weeks at most) to various skilled nursing facilities nationwide. We currently operate in 10 states with ambitions to serve all 50 states within the next 5 years. You will be crucial in achieving this goal.
Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting role, you must have:
A current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification.
A valid medical and DEA license.
At least 3-5 years of clinical experience in Physiatry, PM&R, Skilled Nursing Facilities, or Post-Acute Care. This is a MUST.
A passion for educating others and a people-first personality.
Availability and willingness to travel frequently and for extended periods

The Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah has an immediate opening for a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist who has focused training and/or experience in pediatric oncology, including neuro-oncology. This is an academic clinical position with day-to-day responsibilities in the operation of a busy clinical service. The pediatric neuro-oncologist will serve as an attending physician in the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program. As a member of the Neuro-Oncology team, this physician will work with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric neuro-oncologists, neuro-oncology practitioners and specialty nurses, neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, and pathologists managing children and young adults with brain tumors at PCH in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Service Line outpatient and inpatient units. Our pediatric neuro-oncology physicians provide care to pediatric brain tumor patients starting with initial consultation, planning and preparation of neurosurgical and radiation therapy treatments, including treatment using our local proton-beam facility, delivering chemotherapy and providing post-treatment care, including long term follow-up. Clinical activities will be carried out at PCH with service expanding in the next few years to the PCH Miller Campus in Lehi, Utah. Active areas of research in the program include a translational phase I program with active basic research moving from bench to bedside, and dedicated involvement with the PNOC and other key cooperative groups focused on pediatric brain tumor studies. In addition to clinical service, there is an expectation for academic work with opportunities in education, investigation, and administration as well as advocacy. The Service-Line includes multi-disciplinary colleagues and investigators in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, and Radiation Oncology, along with additional services at the Huntsman Cancer Institute ( HCI ) and within the Department of Pediatrics. The neuro-oncology physician will participate in clinical, basic, and translational research programs, and will have the opportunity to implement early phase and investigator initiated clinical trials, as well as collaborations with established radiation therapy, neurosurgery, immunotherapy and cell therapy programs. PCH is ranked by US News in the top 20 childhood cancer programs and provides care to children with cancer across the five-state Intermountain West region. What winning looks like:
Lead and develop collaborative multidisciplinary wound care teams
Travel to scheduled locations weekly for wound rounds and house calls, in an assigned region
Provide the highest quality skin and wound care services to patients
Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies to assess change to patients' health care needs
Perform bedside wound care skills including wound assessment, dressing application, pressure relief, pain/odor control, and minor surgical procedures
Track the progress of wound healing and document timely in UWH's own wound care EMR
Develop a treatment plan for skin and wound conditions based on the individual needs of each patient, and UWH's Clinical Practice Guidelines
Collaborate virtually with our medical leadership, including board-certified physicians and surgeons specializing in wound care, dermatology, podiatry, vascular surgery, and infectious disease
Skills required for winning:
This fast-paced position requires standing for extended periods of time
Driving! You must have reliable transportation; valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in working state
Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license
1-2 years of wound care and/or surgical experience (highly preferred, but not required); extensive training available
Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work/schedule appointments independently
Must be trustworthy, honest, and have a positive and professional attitude
Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines
Compensation Range: Market-competitive salary with bonus potential

This position is classified as: Salary, Exempt; Full-Time 0.8FTE - 1.0FTE
Hours: Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm, no nights, weekends, or call

Primary Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Assess, diagnose and treat patients with immediate medical needs
Conduct initial patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
Assist in surgical procedures, providing preoperative and postoperative care.
Develop and recommend treatment plans in collaboration with the orthopedic surgeon.
Perform joint injections, aspirations, casting, and other minor procedures.
Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and postoperative care.
Participate in the clinic on call schedule to address urgent patient needs after hours.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR), documenting patient encounters, procedures, and treatment plans.
Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers, diagnostic imaging facilities, and physical therapy as needed.
Handle phone calls, inquiries, and messages promptly and professionally.
Schedule patient appointments, follow-up visits, and manage patient flow in the clinic.

Requirements:
