As a Staff Physician, your role involves working alongside Fort Logan's team of medical physicians to manage the medical problems of the hospital's psychiatric inpatients while collaborating with the attending psychiatrist and multidisciplinary treatment team. You will provide medical care to hospital patients and also provide clinical guidance and support to programs in the Medical Services work unit. The ideal candidate is an experienced primary care physician (family medicine, internal medicine, or closely-related specialty) who is looking for a change from the typical corporate medical practice setting and interested in serving a vulnerable patient population. This is a direct care role and not research-based position.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provides medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
· Completes pre-admission screening and performs various health assessments
