    DESCRIPTION OF JOB FUNCTIONS: - Independently run clinic and assess and examine patients, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations. This pertains to new patients, follow-ups, post-ops, as well as pre-operative appointments. - Run clinic at our satellite locations throughout the valley. - Document patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans in electronic health records (EHR) system - Learn to interpret diagnostic imaging and diagnose and treat based off imaging and symptomology - Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans - Educate surgical and non surgical patients on their future care/ treatment - Assist the provider on his surgical days in surgery, independently suturing closed the surgical wounds, and managing patients post-operatively EXPERIENCE: - Surgery experience of at least 6mo.'s - 1 year. This candidate will need to know suture skills, and sterile technique in the O.R. However, consideration will given to the right candidate if they have less experience - Knowledge of discharge planning process to ensure smooth transitions of care for patients -This position requires flexibility and adaptability as required by the variation in patient and surgical case load Qualifications: - Valid Physician Assistant license in AZ - Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-based environment - Strong problem-solving skills to assess complex medical cases and develop appropriate treatment plans Salary is based off experience.
