This is a fulltime opportunity 1099 Independent Contractor Must be available M-F Rotating 12 and 8 Hour Shifts The clinic has capacity and willingness to offer flexibility to candidates based upon preferences Description of Services OB GYN Physician 1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS o Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) o Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) o Internship/Fellowship: Must have completed a successful OB GYN internship and residency program which has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association. o Experience: Required 1 year experience in the last 2 years working in OR and Labor/Delivery o Board Certification: Must be currently Board certified in OB GYN o Certifications: o BLS certification required o ACLS certification required o License: Current MD license from any US state o Security Clearance: Must have a clear background in order to pass the security clearance o Familiar with organization structure and operation methods of Air Force o Possess excellent written and oral communications skills. Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communications. o Immunizations: All immunizations must be up to date o Scheduling: Must be willing to work on any day or shift, including night, weekends, holidays, as necessary to meet mission requirements. o Clean Background: You must be able to pass a security background check o May be a US citizen or a US Permanent Resident (green card holder) 2.0 SPECIFIC DUTIES Provider will perform triage and care of laboring patients; perform C- section/operative deliveries, assist CNM with management of patients; care for postpartum patients; cover the ER for any OB/GYN related issues. This may result in admission to hospital for possible surgical/medical management. Provider will be required to perform their assigned duties with regard to all outpatients and inpatients and eligible beneficiaries regardless of underlying disease process or physical condition of such patients or beneficiaries. The contract Provider shall be expected to conduct a minimum of 2.75 patient office visits per hour during scheduled clinic workdays. Provider will perform as primary and/or assist for emergent surgical cases and assist with scheduled cases as needed. The delivery rate range is 100 to 150 plus per month. Clinic and surgical schedules will be established by the Chief, OB/GYN Clinic with cases distributed equitably among the staff physicians. Will diagnose and treat the full range of obstetrical and gynecological cases, procedures and surgeries and provide advice and opinions upon request by the Chief, OB/GYN or the referring physician in support of OB/GYN examinations, procedures, and surgeries as provided in conjunction with patient care and treatment. Will prepare all records and reports as required in support of services rendered and as required by BACH's Standard Operating Procedures, Federal law, or DHA regulations. Will record treatment data in the patient's outpatient and inpatient records. The contract Provider is responsible for the content and correctness of all reports. Will facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other health care providers in accordance with policies and regulations of BACH. Roughly 17 patients per day (covered by 2 providers) Perform Full-scope OB, minus GYN. The clinic has in-house Midwife, Pediatricians, and Anesthesiology available. The patient population is primarily young and healthy.
