Ascension St. Vincent is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Night Critical Care team.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent to provide medical services to patients.
Position Highlights:
Part Time Night Shift 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Admit or consult on patients admitted to the Cardiovascular, Neurologic or Trauma Intensive Care Units
Provide cross cover for overnight critical care issues.
Perform invasive procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement and intubation
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with a Critical Care physician, provide critical care services to all patients in the Cardiovascular, Neurologic or Trauma Intensive Care Units.
Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform any required procedures.
The Critical Care APP team works closely with primary or consulting services to provide comprehensive care.
The Critical Care APP attends codes in their assigned units and may be called to assist with rapid responses.

Headquartered in Indianapolis, Public Safety Medical is the largest medical practice in the country dedicated to improving the health and safety of fire, emergency medical services and law enforcement personnel by providing specialized medical, fitness and psychological evaluations. Public Safety Medical is a part of the St. Vincent Health, Wellness and Preventive Care Institute, which offers customized and comprehensive on-site care in the workplace.
Position Highlights:
Perform comprehensive physicals for firefighters, law enforcement, and emergency responders; interpret lab results and diagnostic tests, risk assessment, health promotion, and disease prevention through education and counseling.
Ability to focus on a specific client population and become a specialist in the area of first responder risk, chronic health conditions, job-related cancer risks, and improving long term health care. The treatment clinic will be brand new to this location and this provider will be in on the ground floor with the ability to shape and build the practice as they see fit.

Responsibilities
We are a full service clinical IR practice that provides cutting edge, minimally invasive procedures in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. This is accomplished via our robust inpatient consultation service and our thriving outpatient clinic model.
The hired physician will join the existing group or 4 interventionalists and 6 APPs. (3IR and 1 vascular surgeon). Our primary responsibility is to cover all interventional radiology services at St. Vincent 86th, Indianapolis. Currently there are no diagnostic radiology responsibilities, this position is 100% interventional. You would spend at least 3 days a week in the vascular lab, 1-2 days a week in a dedicated IR CT&US dual suite, supervising APPS and doing non-vascular cases. In addition, you would get at least 1/2 day of clinic/week. Call will be q5 for primary call and q20 for back up for our vascular surgery partner for non-vascular IR cases.
You will not find a more clinically diverse practice. We are the comprehensive PE and DVT service line for Ascension's flagship hospital, we have a robust CLI service line and are aligned with our podiatry colleagues, we maintain strong ties with our urology, oncology and gastroenterology departments, and partner with our peripheral thoracic and cardiothoracic colleagues.
We have an amazing team of 6 APPs that help with clinic, rounding, non-vascular (paras, thoras, biopsies, drains) and simple vascular procedures
