Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $278,500 to $484,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
The physician serves as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participates in administrative and quality initiatives for the facilities he or she is responsible for;
Medical directorship functions include attending and participating in monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings; participating in quality improvement initiatives; providing guidance to facility staff; reviewing and revising (if necessary) facility's clinical guidelines; insuring compliance with state and federal regulations, training facility staff; and supervising facility clinical staff.
In addition to the medical director role, the physician also serves as the attending physician for the residents residing at each facility;
The physician collaborates with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day to day resident care at each facility. Typically, each facility will have a full-time PA or NP assigned to the facility depending on the acuity and volume of the patient population;
Physician will provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients residing in SNFs;
Physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with acute illness, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes
Physician must be able to supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physicians assistants
Compensation

Providers typically see 1.5-2 patients per hour, with no call responsibilities outside scheduled shifts. APPs work 11 a.m.-11 p.m., and collaboration is encouraged without supervisory responsibilities.
The facility features a 10-bed ICU supported by hospitalists, intensivists, and Pulm/CC specialists, with a collaborative culture for handling codes. Procedures are limited to routine emergency care, with complex cases stabilized and transferred. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and flexible team in a busy and dynamic ED.

Family Practice Physician Responsibilities
Examine, evaluate, and diagnose patients of all ages
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging (x-rays, ultrasounds, etc.)
Provide treatment plans, prescribe medications, and manage acute and chronic conditions within clinical privileges
Refer patients for specialty consultation when indicated
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and wellness
Document all patient encounters accurately in the EHR
Maintain active clinical privileges as granted by the facility or Service Unit Credentials Committee
Participate fully in medical staff activities, quality assurance, committees, and program reviews
Perform physical exams, including general, neurological, and resuscitative care
Provide mentorship, on-the-job training, or orientation to IHS and Tribal clinic staff as needed
Support public health efforts and deliver medical services in homes, schools, clinics, and community locations within the Service Unit

Requirements:
Active, Unrestricted Washington State Medical License - Must hold a current license to practice medicine in Washington or be willing to obtain one.
Board Certification/Eligibility - Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Family Medicine.
Active DEA Registration - Required to prescribe controlled substances.
Certifications - Must have current certifications in: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) -preferred, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Experience - Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience required.
Credentialing - Must complete all credentialing requirements within 10 days of offer acceptance.
Federal Security Clearance - Must be willing and able to complete and pass the federal security clearance process.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
The physician serves as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participates in administrative and quality initiatives for the facilities he or she is responsible for;
Medical directorship functions include attending and participating in monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings; participating in quality improvement initiatives; providing guidance to facility staff; reviewing and revising (if necessary) facility's clinical guidelines; insuring compliance with state and federal regulations, training facility staff; and supervising facility clinical staff.
In addition to the medical director role, the physician also serves as the attending physician for the residents residing at each facility;
The physician collaborates with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day to day resident care at each facility. Typically, each facility will have a full-time PA or NP assigned to the facility depending on the acuity and volume of the patient population;
Physician will provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients residing in SNFs;
Physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with acute illness, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes
Physician must be able to supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physicians assistants
Compensation
Compensation ranges approximately from $1,100 - $1,300 per day (PRN, Part Time)

Experience with managed care and EHR systems
Experience in patient care and hospital environments
