Job Description: Job Family Definition: Accountable for development, planning, execution, and management of various activities related to materials and inventory control for materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Examples include logistics coordination, shipping/receiving, distribution, storage of materials and cycle counting programs. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, at the non-exempt level, inspection; order fulfillment; shipping; kitting; movement of materials; ensuring physical inventory and maintaining designated inventory records using various material tracking systems; and scheduling work for designated areas of operations; at the exempt level, compiling data for reports; and statistical analysis. Management Level Definition: Applies developed knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete a wide variety of difficult assignments/tasks. Thorough understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature and require ordinary problem resolution. Works under limited supervision and normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instructions given for new assignments. Responsibilities: Performs varied and general tasks involved in controlling inventory; shipping, receiving, storing and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment (e.g. movement of materials through the use of pallet jacks, daily collection of appropriate statistics, routine maintenance). Supports intermediate-level transactional processes that require independent judgment. Follows detailed documentation and instructions to execute a variety of process- oriented tasks to support inventory control and materials management activities (e.g. works externally to expedite routine shipment and deliveries; clearing of Shipment Delay Advisories). Identifies basic- to complex level functional process anomalies (e.g. inventory control, shipping and receiving, conducting cycle counts) and seeks guidance for resolution. Supports the training of new hires. Education and Experience Required: Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience. Typically 2-4 years of experience in materials and/or distribution. Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of warehouse management applications and Microsoft Office suite. Strong written and verbal skills. Fluency in English and local language. Strong technical knowledge specific to business function. Strong multi-tasking ability. Accountabilities: * Forklift Operation: Safely operates a forklift to unload semi-trucks containing raw and packaging materials, and transports items within the warehouse while maintaining cleanliness and organization. * Material Handling: Unloads, stacks, and transports onion sacks (up to 50 bags at 50 pounds each, stacking to 6 feet and handling up to 3 loads per 8-hour shift) to designated storage or processing areas. * Production Support: Counts and dumps onion sacks into cutting hoppers; collects scrap onions in carts and empties into trash compactors; stacks, bales, and stores burlap sacks as needed. * Batter and Breading Management: Loads and elevates bags of batter/breading to the breading hopper room, and manually dumps 50 lb bags into hoppers for processing. * General Housekeeping: Maintains cleanliness by removing excess scrap, sweeping or shoveling floors, flushing with water, and assisting with machinery cleaning across multiple plant areas. * Product Traceability: Completes product recall tags for palletized products, verifies that packed product cases match recall tag counts, and enters all required production paperwork into the AS400 system in an accurate and timely manner. * Supply Distribution: Ensures packaging areas are consistently stocked with raw materials and supplies. * Cold Storage: Stacks cases onto pallets/slip sheets, stretch wraps, and transports finished and extruded onion ring products to cold storage as required. * Additional Tasks: Performs other duties as assigned, consistently applying established sanitation and safety protocols. Qualifications: * Ability to safely operate a forklift and perform strenuous manual labor. * Familiarity with warehouse operations, organization, and sanitation practices. * Capacity to lift and handle heavy materials repetitively throughout the shift. * Attention to detail in recordkeeping and adherence to safety/quality procedures. * Willingness and flexibility to rotate across different production areas as needed.
