Job Summary:
This Material Handler would be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials to and from production lines and warehouse.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Transport racks of material safely with forklift
* Ensure proper packaging and labeling procedures are followed
* Perform inventory transactions with handheld device when moving material
* Assist with other production functions as needed.
* Proper PPE Usage while performing all job duties.
* Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
* Ensure accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
* Perform other duties as assigned
* Assist in Monthly Inventory Cycle Counting
Requirements:
* A minimum of two (2) or more years of forklift operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
* Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* The ability to successfully use a computer without assistance to complete assigned tasks
* The ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks

* Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment

Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical sawmill environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

To carry out warehouse operations including materials preparation and movement. To conduct cycle counts and to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy. All operations to be carried out in compliance with cGMP and standard operating procedures and policies. This is a demanding role in a busy pharmaceutical warehouse.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Key objectives of this position include:
1. Carry out warehouse activities including raw material receipt, bulk tanker unloading, intermediate processing to/from production and final goods receipt from production
2. Prepare product deliveries for shipment to customers
3. Operate in all external warehouses and drum storage areas in accordance with cGMP and HSE site policies
4. Carry out accurate cycle counts as required and investigate discrepancies
5. Organise and coordinate offsite waste shipments as needed
6. To coordinate the inspection, receipt and processing of all received deliveries, including consumables, raw materials and solvents (drums and bulk tankers)
7. Prepare material lots for production processing and receive returns from the production department.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates.

Physical Effort: Incumbent's work requires standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries supplies, materials, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds on a recurring basis. The heavier items are moved with weight-handling equipment or with assistance from other workers. Work is generally performed on a concrete or hard surface floor.
Working Conditions: Incumbents work may occur in areas inside and outside that are hot, cold, damp, drafty, or poorly lighted. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, reaching and occasional crawling or lying on ground to handle material and or inspect/operate forklift. The position also sorts and retrieves material to fill orders requiring frequent floor to waist lifting of up to 60 lbs. Items are collected onto a cart that requires up to 150 lbs. of push/pull initiation force. This job also includes material collection and placement in to totes for order fulfillment, transfers, and staging. A step ladder is used for higher placed items. Two-person team lifts are required for material or containers that can weigh up to 200 lbs. Job placement is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical evaluation, the DOT medical certificate exam.
