What You'll Do:

· Complete daily cycle counts timely and accurately.

· Transact incoming material into stock. Verifying material counts, put away location, and appropriate packaging are essential steps of the incoming process.
· Provide material to customers in a usable form, ensuring it is packaged properly and delivered in a form that supports their operation.
· Understand and apply Kanban principles to scan, fill, and deliver Kanban bins.
· Perform location audits for inventory validation as requested.
· Perform daily 6S activities- maintain an organized and 6S compliant workplace.
· Complete all transactions in the assigned zone. Work with team members in their zones as the workload dictates.
· Communicate any issue to Group Leader and/or supervisor as they occur.
· Work safely - immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, or material damage.

3. **Kanban Card Processing** . The cell associate pulls the card and places it at the end of the cell for
processing. The water spider processes the card by logging and scanning the card for replenishment.
4. **Inventory analysis.** Before the card is actually tripped, the water spider determines if the card is being
turned in early or late and works with the cell associate to understand why. If the system says inventory
is too high, the water spider works with the cell associate to locate stock. If there is a discrepancy, the
water spider will work with the Buyers / Inventory Controller and cell associates to resolve inventory
accuracy issues and get to root cause.

Job Description
Empire Coating Inc is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be integral to supporting our production operation. Specifically, the role is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and other receivables. Position Overview
Operate forklift to safely load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks.
Complete delivery paperwork as needed.
Perform routine maintenance.
Comply with company policies and guidelines.
Update inventory, lists, records, and log all completed tasks.
Operate a 26' Box Truck as needed:
Transporting Goods: Safely transporting goods or passengers to their destinations.
Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secure and protected. Operate forklift and/or pallet jack.
Compliance: Logging miles, driving hours, and other activities to comply with federal and state laws.
Safety Inspections: Conducting vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Route and Stops Management: Navigating routes using GPS, Geotab and other technology provided by the company.
Paperwork: Completing necessary paperwork related to deliveries or driving.
Communication: Report any issues or incidents immediately to dispatch. Develop strong relationships that create trust with our customers.
Safety and Compliance:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, safety glasses) as required on all customer sites.
Work Area Safety: Maintain a safe work environment.
Other:
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
Good organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift heavy objects
Current forklift license preferred, ability to drive a forklift required
Previous experience in warehouse, or other related field strongly preferred
Previous experience as a Box Truck Driver
Testing: Pre-employment DOT physical
Shift:
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Total Compensation Package:

This role is based in the State of New York which requires the disclosure of salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour. Empire Coating Inc provides salary ranges as a good faith estimate of what the company reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting. Compensation offered to a selected candidate may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) a candidate's job-related qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
