Position: Inspector Packer
Job Summary
We are looking for an Inspector Packer to inspect and sort molded or assembled parts or products for defects, and/or deviations from specifications, and pack parts into designated packaging or pallet configurations based on customer requirements and/or standard quality specifications.
Pay: $16 USD/hr
Responsibilities
Pack acceptable parts into pre-defined packaging or pallet configurations according to the established quality standard.
Perform secondary operations per requirement to meet customer specifications. This may include part rework, assembly, and/or repack tasks.
Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
Mark/Label completed container(s)/bundle(s) with designated item information according to the established quality standards.
Record production data accurately during shift and complete secondary operations documentation as required.
Remove molded parts from WIP container and perform visual inspection for conformance to established quality standards.
Maintain clean and organized work area making sure to properly discard rejected parts and to keep area free of debris.
Transfer parts in/out of the curing oven as required/instructed.
Compliance with legal, environmental, and safety requirements of the area.
Know the environmental aspects of the area and it's control.
Know the environmental impacts associated with your activities.
Follow all environmental and safety policies.
Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.
Other duties as assigned.

Inducts parcels into voice system by either scanning barcode on a single box or scanning multiple boxes by using the Build Train command (up to 10 - boxes are organized phonetically Alpha through Juliet).
When prompted proceeds to location, responds with location check digit, selects number of books per instruction, and confirms the number picked. Places books in correct carton (i.e. when train picking instruction is "Alpha, put 2). Push completed carton from diverted location onto conveyor
Trained on use of all commands to be used. SUSPEND command to stop picking a box or a train, SKIP command to skip locations that are short on stock, ADJUST TRAIN command to either remove a carton from a train or add a carton to it, COMBINE TRAIN command to combine two trains of boxes, DESCRIPTION command to verify correct title in location and, the HOW MUCH MORE command to find out how many remaining picks there are on a carton or train.
Verifies the correct stock in location when prompted by Pick To Voice by either scanning the ISBN or voicing in the last 4 digits as needed.
At specified times, identifies orders by wave and plan numbers to make sure they are completed.
General Duties:
Read and select the proper size carton for volume and size of product to be shipped; and inserts invoice.
Properly positions and affixes the labels on the carton to ensure they are oriented for the system scanners.
Inspects product visually to ensure it is free of damage and the correct count before placing in the carton to be shipped.
Ensures correct placement of the books in carton to allow the General Warehouse Employees in packing to carefully secure books with the proper amount of dunnage in order to prevent movement and protect the product while in transit.
Records the proper adjustments for short shipments on the carton.
Assists in resolving any discrepancies.
WMS - Make adjustments for damaged books, stock transfers, and put-away (return product to inventory); retrieves order status information; and looks up parcels.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for operating a forklift and other material handling equipment for the purpose of shipping, receiving, and picking. Activities may include but are not limited to loading or unloading, scanning, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. These Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned.
As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping Responsibilities:
* The shipping functions include but are not limited to using a gas or electric powered forklift to load outbound shipments, move product, and stack products or materials.
* Associates must efficiently and accurately load orders according to the appropriate doors and trailers.
* All shipping functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.
Receiving Responsibilities:
* The receiving functions include but are not limited to using a gas or electric powered forklift to unload inbound shipments, move product, replenish, stack and store products or materials.
* Associates must efficiently and accurately locate and place products in the appropriate storage areas.
* All receiving functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.
Picking Responsibilities:
* The picking functions include but are not limited to using a gas or electric powered forklift to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands.
* Associates must efficiently and accurately pick products and stage in the appropriate areas.
* Associates will stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label product(s) as determined by client requirements.
* All picking functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.
Quality Control Responsibilities:
* The quality control functions include but are not limited to using the appropriate documentation to ensure that all products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly.
* Associates will verify that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies.
* Associates will stack, package, shrink wrap, and label product(s). All quality control functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.
Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance:
* All associates are responsible for executing all safety protocols and will accomplish all job tasks in a manner that promotes safety.
* Associates are responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility. Associates must also maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area, and assist in security of the warehouse.
* Associates will comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
Equipment Operation:
* In performing assigned duties, the equipment used can include but is not limited to: sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, Aisle Master or pallet jack.
* Associates are responsible for the upkeep of equipment and reporting of equipment problems.
* On a daily basis, associates will inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
* Associates will operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
* Associates must maintain an active forklift certification.
Maintenance:
* Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
* Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
* 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
* Able to operate MHE
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
* Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
Other
* Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 1-3 years' experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment
* 1-3 years forklift experience.
* Current or prior MHE certification
