Full-time Description Accurately select, prepare, and ship customer orders Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and safety Operate material-handling equipment to support distribution functions Perform basic computer functions to process and document orders Ensure orders are completed accurately and on time Responsible for daily preparation of orders for shipment and completion of shipping forms, while ensuring quality and production expectations are met for accurate and on-time completion of customer orders Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and on-time fulfilment Set up work area and obtain necessary equipment and materials Accurately select finished goods from stock using an Intermec handheld scanner and tablet Pack, seal, label, stencil, and prepare goods for shipment Complete required documentation, including packing/shipping forms, bills of lading, and UPS/FedEx records Load outgoing shipments and verify carton counts against bills of lading Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment as needed Unload incoming overseas shipment containers that are floor loaded and palletized Perform basic computer functions for order processing and record-keeping Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards Assist in other areas of distribution as assigned by the supervisor Follow all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures Communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and leaders Maintain punctuality for shift start times and breaks Possess reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance Be available and willing to work overtime as business needs require Requirements Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Basic verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and follow customer orders and shipping documents Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently within given instructions Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals) Must be willing to operate a pallet rider-will need to complete onsite training and pass certification Must be 18 years or older Must be legally permitted to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications: Previous warehouse experience in an order fulfillment or shipping/receiving role Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse software Forklift certification or prior experience operating material-handling equipment The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED Physical Requirements: Regularly bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, and pull materials Frequently stand, walk, and lift items up to 70 lbs Ability to operate a pallet rider and forklift (after training/certification) Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Uses physical analysis and scanning equipment to confirm accuracy of pallet tags versus pallet loads and authorize them for delivery into the inventory control system. Using powered or hand operated lift equipment, stacks, tiers or moves product, equipment or materials. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Order picking and material handling • Compares pallet tag to pallet load and configuration to ensure accuracy. • Scans bar code on the pallet label to enter information into the scanner and manually enters quantity information into the scanner; downloads information contained in scanners into the IRIS inventory system hourly. • Using powered or hand operated lift equipment, stores finished goods or parts in designated locations and scans location. • Performs physical inventory counts as required. • Performs vehicle inspections according to company standards. • Performs housekeeping daily. • Performs duties in a manner that supports accurate inventory records. • Unloads incoming factory transfers as necessary • Audits shipping/receiving quantities to ensure accuracy • Pick, build, label, and wrap customer orders to customer/vendor requirements • Able to routinely get on and off a forklift while lifting up to 50 pounds during an 8 hour shift • Work in a fast paced environment, keeping up with production and shipping demands • Effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders using multiple tools to ensure effective visual communication • Perform similar level or nature of duties as assigned 1st shift 6:30am - 3:00pm 2nd shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm 3rd shift 10:30pm -7:00am 3rd shift $18.80 2nd shift $18.40 1st shift $17.00 Earn a .25 cent increase after working 30 days with perfect attendance Earn a 25.00 bonus after working first 80 hours.
