Job Responsibilities:
The Dangerous Goods Shipping Clerkperforms clerical and physical tasks in connection with the shipping and approval of Dangerous Goods (DG) from our facility, including but not limited to labeling, documentation, reporting and decision making on package safety for shipments being shipped either by air or ground. Responsible for ensuring all Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulation (DGR), International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code, and International Civil Air Organization (ICAO) regulations are adhered to when packing, labeling and marking all DG packages shipping from our facility. Ensures documentation compliance by ensuring all Dangerous Goods Shippers Declarations are completed and maintained in accordance with U.S., International, and carrier regulations. Liaise and supports office and warehouse cargo agents. Qualified candidate must complete DOT and IATA certification training provided by Arvato.
