In 2020, I joined Piedmont as Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing Communications, Physician Outreach and Marketing. Piedmont is a 110-year young, multi-billion-dollar not-for-profit healthcare destination known for quality care, compassionate service and a patient-first one-of-a-kind experience. As one of the most awarded, safest, forward-thinking and fastest-growing healthcare systems they serve millions across hundreds of locations.Since 2019 I support the Cannes Lions School as the Dean for the Brand Marketers Academy, a program that aims to develop the best marketers under 30 from around the world, as a part of the Cannes Lions. On top, I serve as Director in the Board of Directors for the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) and Piedmont Newnan Hospital.I was the first CMO at Georgia-Pacific and for almost 9 years helped to transform the marketing strategies and capabilities across all their iconic brands resulting in long-term brand premium growth and short-term marketing ROI. Focus areas included everything from consumer obsession and brand purpose to data-driven personalized media and CX. Georgia-Pacific's progress has been widely recognized, including the inclusion in Ad Age's Creativity 50, induction in the Shopper Marketing Hall of Fame, 5 national CMO Awards and invitations to present at the Cannes Lions, ANA Masters of Marketing and the White House (2016).At Procter & Gamble I enjoyed P&L-, Marketing-, and Sales positions for many years in Europe and North America, led several iconic brands, was a pioneer in Shopper Marketing and was responsible for driving P&L growth, global brand building and innovation on Pringles. More broadly, I co-led several talent development initiatives and experiments in the areas of media and agency models.To support industry-wide growth efforts, I joined the ANA Board of Directors, CMO Growth Council and CMO Club, judged Effie-, Webby- and Edison awards, contributed to TV programs, books, podcasts and trade publications and presented at Cannes Lions, CES, ANA Masters of Marketing, ARF, Salesforce and other conferences.On top, I enjoy helping students and charities with their marketing challenges. I am a strong supporter of the international #SeeHer initiative, which aims to portray women accurately in the media, and I presented at the kick-off at the White House in 2016. I graduated from the School of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen, Netherlands.

Tom Arnold is a Chief Financial Officer at Piedmont Healthcare.

I am a board certified vascular/endovascular surgeon in my 28th year in practice. My practice is centered at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in the Buckhead community of Atlanta, Georgia. I am Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Services , Co-medical Director and a founder of the Level I Cardiovascular Emergency Program of Piedmont Heart and Vascular Institute, and Chief of the Vascular Center of Excellence for Piedmont Heart Institute. I have been site P.I. for a number of clinical trials at Piedmont Heart and Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Along with these activities, I have an active clinical practice in vascular and endovascular surgery as well as both major and outpatient venous disease.

One of my primary practice interests is management of major venous thromboembolic disorders. I have had a major leadership role in the Piedmont Atlanta Pulmonary Embolism Response Team since my arrival here in 2012. I have an active PE interventional practice. Additionally, I have significant clinical practice focusing on inferior vena cava filter complications, IVC thrombosis, and iliofemoral venous thrombosis. Modalities that I have used and/or introduced at Piedmont include EKOS, AngioVac, FlowTriever, Penumbra Indigo, and ClotTriever. I have extensive experience with catheter-directed thrombolysis. I have been site P.I. here for the VIVO and ABRE venous stent clinical trials., and OPTALYSE trial for PE.

I am active in a number of societies including the SVS, Southern Association for Vascular Surgery (Councillor-at-large ending 2020), and the PERT Consortium (Board of Directors, ending October 2019). I presently serve as Secretary of the Georgia Vascular Society.
