Located in Fairmont, West Virginia, Pierpont offers degrees and classes in such academic subjects as: * American Sign Language * Communications * English * ESL * History * Speech Pierpont also awards associate's degrees in high employment medical fields like: * Health Information Technology * Nursing * Physical Therapy Assisting * Respiratory Therapy Pierpont also offers extensive academic support services. Peer and professional tutors offer assistance with writing, math and other subjects. They also offer support programs online and services for students with learning disabilities. Current high school students who would like to enter Pierpont upon graduation must submit an admissions application, transcripts and a recommendation letter. High school applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.0. Other first-time freshmen applicants must submit an admissions application, transcripts or GED scores and ACT, SAT or Compass scores. Healthcare programs may have additional admissions requirements. Pierpont awards different types of tuition scholarships to those who qualify. These include scholarships for strong academic performance, scholarships for outstanding community service and scholarships for students with a financial need. Other types of financial aid include state and federal grants, federal loans and federal work-study awards. To apply for federal and state aid, applicants must submit a FAFSA.
