May perform welding tasks. · Conforms and complies with customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety processes · Documents work performed in service reports, applicable management systems, and written explanation regarding observation and collected equipment performance data. · Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to project teams. Performs expert functions as a part of training and development. · Troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems to resolve in-depth software/ hardware and configuration problems. · Utilizes advanced maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Observes trends and makes recommendations. · Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development. · Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies: Essential KSAs: · High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). · Associates degree with a Technical focus and 10 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 12 years of experience in specific industry. · Possesses comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs. · Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate. · Extensive travel required. (Local, National). Generator Service Technicians are responsible for performing both shop and/or field repairs, maintenance service and troubleshooting of diesel and gas generators, including automatic transfer switches, batteries, and load banks. Candidates will be working on high level cable builds. Candidate must be certified to solder, build, repair and test equipment cables and support equipment. Candidate must have pervious experience building test equipment assets or equivalent. Candidates must be able to interpret build instructions, electrical CCA schematics, BOMs and assembly drawings. This person will be building specific cable harnesses. It will be repetitive work. This person will be building cables for a specific project.
