Basic Functions and Responsibilities
* Provide instruction middle school students in an alternative setting.
* Supports student behavioral needs, as necessary.
* Keep principal informed of potential problems or unusual situations.
* Handle routine discipline referrals and refer serious situations to Principal.
* Contact parents as needed and participate in parent conferences.
* Communicate with Principal related to discipline referrals.
* Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.
* Model and maintain high ethical standards.
* Demonstrate initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
* Respond to inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.
* Demonstrate support for school, its goals, and objectives.
* Participate successfully in the training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to the position.
* Other duties as assigned.
