Specific Responsibilities
The pilot's primary responsibility is providing for the safe transportation of company employees, their guests, and cargo aboard company operated aircraft.
Act as PIC (Pilot in Command) in trip preparation and the operation of the aircraft.
Demonstrates high level communication skills both in and out of the cockpit. Must be professional and willing to ask questions or challenge refutable decisions or actions.
Supervises the flight crew and ensures that all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations.
Make decisions regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations.
Actively participate in the department Safety Management System (SMS). Contribute to the program on a regular basis and offer assistance and/or ideas to leadership when needed.
Maintain a high level of knowledge with respect to department policy, FAA regulations, and technical data necessary to operate company aircraft.
Fully understand the importance of continuous learning and embrace role of teaching others.
Other duties assigned by the Chief Pilot.
Skills
Ability to complete a 14 CFR 61.58 Pilot in Command proficiency check on company operated aircraft.
Possess excellent interpersonal and cognitive skills.

Extensive experience working in a crew environment and fully understand the challenges of the cockpit.
Exhibits excellent Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills while working with other crew and department members.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelors Degree
Operational experience as Pilot in Command (PIC) in turbojet powered aircraft in either Business or Commercial flight operations.
3,000 total flight hours.
500 hours in turbojets.
Possess at least one Type Rating in an aircraft currently operated by the company.
Successful completion of multiple initial and recurrent aircraft specific training programs.
Hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with unrestricted multi-engine rating or ability to obtain ATP with unrestricted multi-engine rating or equivalent U.S. Military Ratings
Instrument rating valid for category and class of company operated aircraft or equivalent U.S. Military Ratings
Hold an FCC Radio License
Current FAA First Class Medical

Functions & Responsibilities
Execute scheduled UAS (unmanned aerial systems) missions for Arch Aerial LLC, primarily in industrial settings. Duties and responsibilities include execution of UAS flights, data management, and data transfer. Must be familiar with multi-rotor UAS operation; fixed wing UAS operational experience is a plus. As this is an entry level Junior UAS Pilot role, previous professional UAS Pilot experience is not required, but is highly recommended. Whether a candidate has previous professional UAS Piloting experience or not, training will be conducted by Arch Aerial on Arch Aerial piloting, process, safety, and technical skills for all new hires.
Workload will consist of roughly 35 - 45 hours of operation per week, with opportunities for overtime beyond 40 hours per week. Travel is to be expected, and candidates should understand that duties are often performed outside in Gulf Coast and Southwest climates which include hot and humid conditions. Additional opportunities for piloting work both inside and outside of the DFW area will become available from time-to-time. Piloting duties will be conducted in the field, and any administrative or data technician duties require the Junior UAS Pilot to be in-office (i.e. this position is not remote).

About the Role:
The LiDAR Pilot holds a current FAA Part 107 certificate, and is responsible for the safe operations of drones while capturing inspection imagery and LIDAR data from Unmanned Aerial Systems (drones) and ground-based sensors for the Geospatial, Wind, Telecom, Utility, and Solar verticals at Zeitview, Inc. The primary function of this position is to capture accurate, actionable data that can be readily analyzed by our in-house software and analyst teams in support of customer requirements. Aspects include remote pilot operations, executing flight operations to established performance standards, safety and regulatory compliance, following company flight operations policies, technology development/testing, and logistical support. The LiDAR Pilot must be an accomplished, professional remote pilot with extensive experience and expertise in at least one of Zeitview's listed vertical markets (Wind, Telecom, Geospatial, Utility, and Solar), with a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
Operate drones to collect high-quality remote sensing data for a variety of industries
Collect Geospatial data using LIDAR and GNSS survey equipmen
Work cross-functionally and across verticals to oversee and ensure remote pilot regulatory compliance
Follow Zeitview's standardized workflows and defined safety practices
Maintain an unwavering commitment to professionalism while representing Zeitview in the field
Troubleshoot technical issues in the field to ensure uninterrupted data collection.
Qualifications:
Documented, demonstrable experience conducting successful remote sensing operations in at least one of our vertical markets (Geospatial, Wind, Telecom, Utility, and Solar), and willingness to develop expertise in the others. Preference given for experience in Geospatial with LiDAR
Proficiency in operating DJI sUAS systems
Knowledge of photogrammetry and LiDAR workflows
Proficiently use GNSS survey equipment to ensure precise data collection
Understand and implement ground control point concepts to enhance data accuracy.
Industry recognized Certifications and/or training is required (e.g., FAA Part 107)
Ability to adapt to different working environments is essential
Experience with implementing and managing against client Scope of Work (SOW) objectives
Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and individuals and come to a consensus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to support more than 90% travel domestically with the potential for international travel
Be able to easily lift 70 lbs
Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time while working in austere environments
