Your eligibility begins once you complete your Private Pilot Certificate.
Successfully complete an interview with PSA to become a Cadet in the program.
Cadets are offered numerous opportunities, including mentorship with airline industry experts and
internships.
Upon completion of your Senior Cadet Interview, you are eligible for tuition reimbursement paid to you as follows:
$7,500 after the Senior Cadet Interview
$7,500 at time building (when they are within 500 hours of ATP minimums)
Total: $15,000
ATP-CTP Course paid upon reaching ATP/R-ATP minimum flight experience requirements.
PSA will pay for the ATP-CTP course (valued at $5,000) for qualified candidates needing to complete the ATP written exam prior to new hire training.
Hotel accommodations and ground transportation during the ATP-CTP course will be provided.
Get placed into the next available class at PSA upon reaching minimums, no additional interview
required.
Flow-through to American Airlines with no additional interview, once completing requirements at PSA.
Interview Process
Interview process is broken down into 3 sections:
Section 1 - HR Interview - Cadet
Section 2 - Technical Evaluation - Senior Cadet
Section 3 - Cadet Instructor Check-in and Logbook review - Cadet Instructor
Qualifications
Must have at least a private pilot certificate
Must be a current flight student OR CFI, actively instructing
No more than three check ride failures
No accident or incident determined by the NTSB to be negligent on behalf of the pilot/aviator
Ability to obtain a First-Class Medical
Ability to obtain a Valid Passport
Ability to obtain FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
Must be able to meet the necessary hours and qualification under the ATP requirements or the restricted ATP requirements
Cadets eligible for a R-ATP (1000 or 1250 hours), must have no more than 700 hours
Cadets requiring ATP (1500 hours), must have no more than 1200 hours
If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US

Saildrone Pilots are members of the Mission Control team at Saildrone. Pilots work on a rotating watch schedule monitoring our USV's 24/7/365. Silent Falcon is searching for an experienced drone pilot. We are in need of someone who has exceptional communication and leadership skills who is responsible and able to work full/part-time. A drone pilot is responsible for operating a drone and making sure it stays on course and landing it safely. Depending on the drone, there will be times that you will need to work a camera. Your main duties will include maintaining drones, planning flight paths, assembling maps, and gathering data, footage, and digital images. You will need to hold a Federal Aviation Administration Remote Pilot Certificate also known as the Part 107 license. Any other certificate applicable to drone pilots is a plus. About the Job
A drone pilot is responsible for operating a drone, which is sometimes called an unmanned aerial system (UAS). Drones are operated remotely, which is why drone pilots are also known as remote pilots. A drone pilot controls a drone, causing it to take off, stay on course, and land safely. Also, drone pilots conduct safety tests, oversee vehicle performance, and assess drone systems' capabilities. They may also operate cameras or other equipment the drone carries.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Check drones before a flight to ensure safe and proper operation

Document pre- and post-flight logs
Monitor drones during flight

The Instructor Pilot will be responsible for delivering the training curriculum. This includes responding to 426 Squadron instructional management staff and providing student training to meet CF needs; ensuring alignment with needs of Squadron chief instructor for all matters related to standards of instruction, teaching methodologies, and handling of and reporting on students. As practical, interact closely with Squadron instructional staff to coordinate instructional tasks, review, and apply lessons derived from training that has been conducted, and collaborate on assessing student performance.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Provide instruction, including surge, to meet USAF proficiency and qualification standards on Air Force-administered written examinations and flight evaluations for preparatory courses, initial qualification (basic, instrument, mission), transition (conversion, requalification), upgrade qualification (instructor, aircraft commander, special mission), and key staff, continuation and refresher course training as required to accomplish the On-Time Graduation and annual Student Throughput requirements of this contract.

Use air traffic control services and radio calls during instruction that are IAW the current edition of Federal Aviation Administration Order (FAAO) 7110.65, Air Traffic Control, or applicable International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) manuals and circulars for OCONUS sites.
Conduct Instrument Refresher Courses (IRC) IAW AFMAN 11-210 and AFI 11-202V2, as supplemented.
Conduct Cockpit/Crew Resource Management (CRM) courses IAW AFI 11-290 and MAJCOM Supplement. Crewmembers are required to take CRM recurring/refresher training IAW AFI 11-2 Mission Design Series (MDS)-Specific Volumes 1 &2 and 13-Series AFIs.
Comply with AETCI 36-2909, Recruiting, Education, Accessions, and Training Standards of Conduct, and shall take immediate action to resolve violations of the prohibition on unprofessional relationships.
Accomplish Student Throughput and annual On-Time Graduation requirements of this contract.
Create and maintain training folder documentation for all instructors IAW AETCI 36-2202, Faculty Development and Master Instructor Programs, and CCAF pamphlet titled “Campus Affiliations Policies, Procedures and Guidelines (PPG)”.
Evaluate, diagnose, critique, and document student performance, identify learning difficulties, recognize objectives not accomplished, and prescribe and conduct remedial instruction as required to accomplish the requirements of this contract.

Requirements
Must be current in U.S. military aircraft within the previous two years; or within the previous 8 years if the candidate has performed 8 years of military operational flying duty at the time of hire and with at least two years or 200 hours experience as an in-flight instructor in the respective MDS and associated mission sets.
Previous experience in the 1st Heli mission required.
Highly desired: operational flight experience within 3 years as an instructor on the applicable system or performance of similar aircraft simulator instructor duties within 3 years
Must possess a TOP SECRET security clearance.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Flight Operations & Safety
Act as RPIC / Co-Pilot for test flights, rehearsals, and live shows; maintain command/control of the swarm.
Lead comprehensive pre-mission planning: site survey, grid/coordinate design, pad layout, margin offsets, termination zones, redundancy, and emergency procedures.
Ensure full regulatory compliance: FAA Part 107, Remote ID, airspace authorizations (via LAANC / DroneZone), night operations, and over-people rules when applicable.
Confirm night-ops readiness: anti-collision lighting, observer coverage, comms plan, geofence containment.
Conduct on-site safety briefings and risk reviews with your field crew, clients, and local stakeholders.
Systems, Software & Data
Configure and validate RTK GNSS / ground station systems, redundancy, firmware, and containment logic pre-flight.
Load, simulate, validate, and monitor show files; manage change control and version history.
Operate or integrate with drone show control software / flight stacks (UGCS, PixHawk derivatives, vendor show platforms).
Monitor the health of battery systems (cycle counts, voltage curves), maintain flight & maintenance logs, and enforce charging discipline.
Field Leadership & Client Collaboration
Lead, coordinate, and mentor a field crew (2-6 persons, scalable by show size) in setup, launch pad deployment, payload staging, and teardown.
Act as the technical ambassador on site-interface with clients, venue staff, and regulatory/venue authorities.
Troubleshoot live system anomalies, assess go / no-go decisions, and abort show segments when necessary to protect safety and reputation.
Maintenance & Operational Readiness
Conduct field inspections, minor repairs, and triage RMA processes; support keeping the drone fleet in show-ready condition.
Update, refine, and enforce SOPs, checklists, and safety protocols; train newer pilots/crew on best practices and risk management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate in good standing
Demonstrated experience with multi-rotor sUAS, preprogrammed formation/waypoint missions, and swarm control (show experience strongly preferred)
Proficiency with airspace systems (LAANC / DroneZone authorizations) and Remote ID compliance
Working knowledge of RTK GNSS, geofencing, redundancy, ground control stations, and radio links
Experience with one or more UAV / show software systems (UGCS, PixHawk, or equivalent)
Strong discipline with documentation, checklists, logs, and standard operating procedures
Flexible schedule: ability to travel heavily (50% - 75%), work nights, weekends, holidays and in varied weather conditions
