Responsibilities

OBXtek is staffing positions for Contract Instructor Pilots/CI on the AC-130J MDS for the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) 492 Special Operation Wing (SOW) and operational units.

Instructors will provide instruction, in accordance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), and Air Force Instructions (AFI) to meet United States Air Force (USAF) proficiency and qualification standards on Air Force administered written examinations and flight evaluations for preparatory courses, initial qualification (basic, instrument, mission), transition (conversion, requalification), upgrade qualification (instructor, aircraft commander, special mission, evaluator, dual qualification of sensor operators), and key staff, continuation, refresher course, etc. training as required to meet the on-time graduation and annual student throughout requirements of this contract. Other requirements include:

• Ensure syllabi tasks are 100% complete within the time specified for the lesson.
• Ensure completion of Aircrew Graduate Evaluation Program (AGEP) in accordance with applicable Air Force Instructions and training syllabi.
• Use air traffic control services and radio calls during instruction that are in accordance with the most current edition of the Federal Aviation Administration Order 7110.65, Air Traffic Control, or applicable International Civil Aviation Organization manuals and circulars for overseas continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
• Support instruction of the AFSOC Instrument Refresher Course (IRC) with qualified IRC instructors.
• Support instruction of the Crew Resource Management Course (CRM) and CRM Facilitators Course with qualified CRM instructors.
• Support instruction of the Night Vision Devices with qualified aircrew instructors.
• Support instruction of aircraft radios, datalinks and other cryptographic radio devices as assigned, with qualified aircrew instructors in assigned training devices.
• Support the Critique Program with suggested changes/mitigation(s) as required.

These positions are located at Hurlburt Field, FL.

Qualifications

Requires a valid Secret Clearance.

• Minimum of five 5 years AFSOC aircrew experience required.
• Instructor candidates who were instructor certified in the proposed MDS and were current in U.S. military aircraft within the previous two years;
  OR
  Instructors formerly instructor certified (in the proposed U.S. military MDS aircraft) within the previous four (4) years if the following conditions are met at the time of hiring:
  the candidate performed eight (8) years of military operational flying duty; and at least two (2) years or 200 hours experience as an inflight instructor in the proposed MDS and associated mission sets
  .

DroneUp is seeking a Drone Pilot Instructor for our Learning and Development team. The Drone Pilot Instructor conducts Flight School workshops and seminars, ranging from 1:1 instruction to group engagements as well as oversees the build-out of a training curriculum to support the scaling of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational control and responsibility for curriculum management, flight operations manuals, and regulatory oversight training
• Develop lesson plans and conduct ground training modules covering aircraft systems, including normal, abnormal, and emergency operations
• Manage flight training facilities and the associated budget
• Establish and reviews course content to ensure relevancy
• Maintain accurate student training records, student logbooks, and computer records
• Set standards for each training program (i.e. required, optional and safety-related)
• Engage with Subject Matter Experts responsible for building and publishing guides, checklists, manuals, and procedures for training programs
• Demonstrate hands-on, practical training specific to multiple drones used for Flight Operations
• Lead strategic and operational planning to ensure the viability of flight training
• Other duties as assigned by the Flight Training Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in UAS, Aviation, or a related field required
• 3 or more years of UAS specific experience required
• Part 107 certified with significant flight experience required
• Training development and instructional design experience preferred
• The instructor must be knowledgeable about topics related to successfully operating a drone such as FAA regulations, weather, privacy issues, battery maintenance, etc.
• Experience with ArduPilot preferred
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• CFI-I preferred

**Description:** Instructs pilots in flight procedures and techniques in ground school courses and flight training\. Prepares lesson plans\. Acts as a subject matter expert by applying advanced technical concepts in the area of aviation and provides assistance in creation of training material\. **Basic Qualifications:**

Candidate must meeting the following basic requirements:

Must have an active secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 years or be enrolled in Continuous Evaluation\.

Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program \(SAP\) access\.

Must have a minimum of 1000 hours experience in tactical fighter aircraft as a pilot\.

Must have experience as a multi\-ship flight lead in tactical fighter aircraft\.

Must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule\.

Position may require candidate to participate in deployed operations to support customer requirements\.

**Desired Skills:**

1000 hours experience in fourth and/or fifth generation tactical fighter aircraft as a pilot is highly desired\.

Experience as a Military Instructor Pilot \(IP\) in tactical fighter aircraft\.

Past experience with F\-35 pilot training curriculum\.

Familiarity with F\-35 program requirements\.

F\-35 system knowledge\.

F\-35 Full Mission Simulator experience\.

Familiarity with the F\-35 ALIS program\.

Prior experience in delivering Military Pilot Academic and Simulator Training in fourth and/or fifth generation tactical fighter aircraft\.

Experience with advanced sensor systems such as NVS, LITENING/SNIPER, Helmet Mounted Cueing, and the latest weapons inventory\.

Graduate of formal military Academic Instructor Course \(AIC\)\.
