JOB SUMMARY
Ensures all operations involving Company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations.
Operates the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations
Conducts preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting transports or flights. Preflight will be conducted utilizing the appropriate rotorcraft flight manual. Discrepancies noted during the pre-flight will be noted in the engineering log with a notification to maintenance of the discrepancy and what corrective action is being taken
Reports to his/her shift rested and prepared for duty and stays current of weather and forecast changes
QUALIFICATIONS

Your eligibility begins once you complete your Private Pilot Certificate.
Successfully complete an interview with PSA to become a Cadet in the program.
Cadets are offered numerous opportunities, including mentorship with airline industry experts and

Upon completion of your Senior Cadet Interview, you are eligible for tuition reimbursement paid to you as follows:
$7,500 after the Senior Cadet Interview
$7,500 at time building (when they are within 500 hours of ATP minimums)
Total: $15,000
ATP-CTP Course paid upon reaching ATP/R-ATP minimum flight experience requirements.
PSA will pay for the ATP-CTP course (valued at $5,000) for qualified candidates needing to complete the ATP written exam prior to new hire training.
Hotel accommodations and ground transportation during the ATP-CTP course will be provided.
Get placed into the next available class at PSA upon reaching minimums, no additional interview
required.
Flow-through to American Airlines with no additional interview, once completing requirements at PSA.
Interview Process
Interview process is broken down into 3 sections:
Section 1 - HR Interview - Cadet
Section 2 - Technical Evaluation - Senior Cadet
Section 3 - Cadet Instructor Check-in and Logbook review - Cadet Instructor
Qualifications
Must have at least a private pilot certificate
Must be a current flight student OR CFI, actively instructing
No more than three check ride failures
No accident or incident determined by the NTSB to be negligent on behalf of the pilot/aviator
Ability to obtain a First-Class Medical
Ability to obtain a Valid Passport
Ability to obtain FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
Must be able to meet the necessary hours and qualification under the ATP requirements or the restricted ATP requirements
Cadets eligible for a R-ATP (1000 or 1250 hours), must have no more than 700 hours
Cadets requiring ATP (1500 hours), must have no more than 1200 hours
If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US

The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds final responsibility to ensure aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant and efficient manner. The PIC complies with all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
* Ensures crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
* Completes flight planning, performance and weight and balance tasks for each assignment, as required.
* Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pilot-in-Command reports to the Chief Pilot regarding Company policies and procedures. Duties will involve FAR Part 91/135 operations as part of a crew.
The Pilot-in-Command has the following responsibility for safe transportation of passengers, crewmembers, and cargo during all aircraft operations. He / She may delegate duties but not the responsibility of those duties.
To serve as Pilot-in-Command in any aircraft he/she must hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with the appropriate category and class rating and be qualified for their assigned position.
Candidate must be located within 90 minutes of the Orlando, FL area (Sanford, FL). Local candidates highly preferred. If not currently local, relocation to the Orlando, FL area is required for this position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Final authority to operate the assigned aircraft.
Authority to delay, cancel or discontinue a flight when, in his / her opinion conditions are unsuitable for the initiation or continuation of the flight.
Authority to indicate a change in the planned flight during the flight when, in his / her opinion, such a change is appropriate for the safer operation of the aircraft.
Respecting aircraft performance (i.e., takeoff, en-route, landing, special operations, mountainous airports, etc.), Flight Crewmembers shall strictly adhere to Company operating policies and procedures so as to mitigate the potential of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).
Responsible for flight planning taking into account:
The suitability of the weather,
Routing,
Airports, traffic conditions,
Airway facilities along the route to be flown,
Aircraft performance.
Responsibility to ensure that a flight initiated is completed as planned.
Institute all necessary changes as required by en-route conditions such that the flight may continue under appropriate procedures and rules.
Responsible for conducting the flight in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with the, but not limited to, the following items:
Reviewing and reporting the maintenance status of each aircraft.
The conduct of a proper preflight inspection in accordance with the approved Airplane Flight Manual or accepted preflight checklist.
A complete check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and airport to be used.
Ensure the flight is conducted in accordance with the policies and procedures of this Manual, the Operations Specifications and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
To determine that weight and balance procedures are followed, and that the gross weight and CG of the loaded aircraft are within limits for operation.
Ensuring the safety of passengers, aircraft and crew.
Accurate completion of all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

Job Description
To bring help and hope to patients and families following a terrible trauma, a sudden medical event, or a medical transport. To be part of the finest EMS team in the United States.
The primary duty of a CareFlite line pilot is to safely transport medical personnel and patients to and from the requested locations in CareFlite's Bell 407GX aircraft. In the performance of that mission, the line pilot assumes responsibility for ensuring that the aircraft is airworthy and that the aircraft is operated in compliance with all FAA regulations and CareFlite policies.
This position requires teamwork, a personal commitment to CareFlite's mission and core values, and the willingness to demonstrate those core values in all activities performed for CareFlite or while representing CareFlite. The incumbent(s) of this position are active participants in the organization and support the changes necessary for the organization's survival.
CareFlite Rotor Wing Pilots work a 7 on 7 off schedule with competitive pay, with time and a half for workover/overtime.
In its commitment to safety, CareFlite offers to each pilot:
Training every 6 months with CareFlite instructors
1 hour of instrument proficiency each month
Training and qualification in ANVIS 9, White Phosphorus NVGs, (For all 407GX Pilots)
2 Axis Autopilots (installed on all 407GX aircraft)
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Current ATP Rotorcraft required within 6 months of hire. (CareFlite Aircraft can be used for ATP Training/Checkride)
Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
2500 hours helicopter Total Time
500 Turbine flight hours
200 unaided night-flight hours
2000 hours as Helicopter PIC
Current aircraft operated by CareFlite (after training).
