Responsibilities
Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
Maintain accurate MTC and regulatory documentation and record keeping
Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details
Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

JOB SUMMARY
Ensures all operations involving Company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations.
Operates the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations
Conducts preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting transports or flights. Preflight will be conducted utilizing the appropriate rotorcraft flight manual. Discrepancies noted during the pre-flight will be noted in the engineering log with a notification to maintenance of the discrepancy and what corrective action is being taken
Reports to his/her shift rested and prepared for duty and stays current of weather and forecast changes

Your eligibility begins once you complete your Private Pilot Certificate.
Successfully complete an interview with PSA to become a Cadet in the program.

Upon completion of your Senior Cadet Interview, you are eligible for tuition reimbursement paid to you as follows:
$7,500 after the Senior Cadet Interview
$7,500 at time building (when they are within 500 hours of ATP minimums)

ATP-CTP Course paid upon reaching ATP/R-ATP minimum flight experience requirements.
PSA will pay for the ATP-CTP course (valued at $5,000) for qualified candidates needing to complete the ATP written exam prior to new hire training.

The Pilot in Command is designated as the PIC for a flight or series of flights in accordance to the principles and procedures as required by FAR Part 135. The PIC is responsible for the safe conduct of flights to which he or she is assigned. The PIC is the final authority in the operation of the aircraft and exercises Operational Control on the Tier 2 level as described in Chapter 5 of the General Operations Manual. The PIC supervises the functions of any other assigned crew member during flight as required. The PIC must meet minimum qualifications as specified by Federal Aviation Regulation Part 135.243(b).
Pilot schedules are a rotating 7 days on followed by 7 days off duty assignment. While on duty, pilots serve a 12-hour shift (maximum of 14 hours if operating under Part 135) at the Base hangar in order to meet a 30-minute launch after initial notification of a trip. Pilot shift assignments consist of either a day duty period or a night duty period and are scheduled the month prior by the Base Lead Pilot to provide pilots sufficient opportunity to prepare their rest cycle. Pilots can expect to serve the same duty period during their assigned 7 days on shift and then rotate to the next duty period during their next 7-day shift assignment. Changes to duty periods within a 7-day shift assignment are discouraged but can occur depending on local needs at the Base.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
* Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, San Antonio, Texas.
* Must hold, or be able to attain, BE-200PL21 and C-90 PIC Qualification.
* Single Pilot IFR experience preferred.
* Previous medevac and/or cargo experience preferred.
* Hold, or be eligible to hold, an unrestricted FAA ATP certificate.

JOB SUMMARY

Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations

Discrepancies noted during the pre-flight will be noted in the engineering log with a notification to maintenance of the discrepancy and what corrective action is being taken

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
Primary flying duties will include ADAIR and CCAS sorties in support of DoD contracts.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards during all flights.

Military tactical flying experience:
500 hours total tactical aircraft time and current in Armed Forces Reserve or Guard status, or
1000 hours tactical aircraft time if DoD Retired or Separated, or
1300 hours total time with 300 hours tactical aircraft time for retired/separated candidates.
Previous experience as a qualified DoD flight lead (4-ship for Adversary Air, 2-ship for Contracted Close Air Support) in F- or A-designated aircraft.
Tactical flying qualification within the last 5 years with a US Military Department, foreign DoD equivalent, or a US DoD contractor supporting Adversary Air or Contracted Close Air Support.
Tactical aircraft time in support of ADAIR is defined as flight hours in any Government-owned F-, A-designation, including T-38 ADAIR, T-38 IFF, and international exchange fighter equivalent aircraft while serving as Pilot in Command, Instructor Pilot, or Stan/Eval Flight Examiner.
FAA Class II medical rating.
FAA Commercial and Instrument Rating.
