Entertainment Technicians at the park are responsible for the operation and basic installation/maintenance of all show productions sound, video, special effects, and lighting equipment. Technicians will provide support for all shows, educational presentations, themed events, and seasonal events such as Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park. Installation of equipment may require working at height including the use of ladders, climbing scaffolding, and use of a man-lift. Responsibilities: Job Duties: Perform daily operational duties to assist the department to include covering open positions, communicating show changes, schedule changes and other details and sharing information with co-workers and management. Perform all assignments and responsibilities as outlined for a stagehand, spotlight operator, light board operator, audio operator, special effects operator, and camera operator. Operate a spotlight, light board, audio console, video camera, and/or special effects equipment for shows and special events in the park. Will occasionally perform stagehand show scene shifts and other behind the scene duties for shows. Provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance for scenic elements, sound system, video equipment, special effects equipment, lighting system, lighting fixtures or other technical components. Maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards through all assigned tasks. Consistently set the example for following all park policies and procedures. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Knowledge of technical theater, including but not limited to: theater safety, audio and lighting systems, special effects, video, theatrical scenery and drapery, set decorating, scenic and prop construction, maintenance and repair. College level experience in Theatre or related discipline or equivalent related employment experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to work flexible schedule including early mornings/days/evenings/late nights/weekends/holidays. Must be team-oriented with a positive attitude. Be capable of successfully interacting with various entertainers, technicians, outside contractors, entertainment and park staff, and personnel from other departments. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Hands on capability to operate technical equipment and troubleshoot technical problems. As an Entertainment Technician, you are responsible for the safe handling and operation of equipment within the fields of lighting, audio, atmospheric effects, and pneumatics. This includes the technical running of live shows as well as other marquee events. Technicians are expected to interact with guests, other employees, and supervisors while maintaining the company's integrity and following all park policies and procedures. Job duties also include working both individually as well as with a team and should anticipate working in all weather conditions. Responsibilities: Shows an emphasis towards safety when performing all job tasks assigned to them. Oversee technical equipment related to live shows such as audio, lighting, video and scenic effects while ensuring smooth operation of all elements relating to it. Prepare workspace and facilities for daily operation including but not limited to venue upkeep and cleanliness, show preparation, and special events. Perform maintenance of all equipment to ensure proper functionality as well as prepare and test equipment based on departmental needs. Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to Six Flag's policies regarding guest interactions by answering questions as well as providing directions. Ensure that all HVAC & R equipment is having the preventive maintenance done according to manufactures or health department requirements. Ensure that onsite HVAC & R parts are stocked for the necessary repairs. Ensure that if preventive maintenance or repairs to any HVAC & R equipment that gets completed that all areas are cleaned and disposed of. Ensure that the logging of equipment data, equipment repairs, and refrigerant usage are maintained. Ensure that tools and instruments used for repairs of the HVAC & R equipment are in good working order or even sent out for testing if required. Ensure that OSHA requirements are followed for the safety when working by oneself, working around other employees and around our guest using public areas. Ensure that the proper safety equipment is used when working around HVAC & R equipment or the use of tools. Ensure that there is minimal loss of efficiency all parts and tools needed for the repairs are taken all at the same time to do the job. Responsible for the tools to be returned in its rightful place. Ensure to maintain MSDS sheets for any liquids, chemicals, or powder products use in the HVAC & R department. Ensure that the Tuscany Suites & Casino employee handbook is followed in its entirety. Ensure that at times you will be required to step outside this job description and do other job duties assigned by management. Ensure that a purchase order is written for every part or supply needed after the approval of Assistant, Director of Engineering Ensure that the daily or weekly checklist is followed it is entirety. Scheduled shift may be altered at any time to do the projects or repairs not affecting the operations of the Hotel or Casino. Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to carry 50 lbs. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED required. Must have 2 years' experience in commercial HVAC Refrigeration and Kitchen equipment. Required to carry a universal EPA card. This is a full-time position and must be flexible to work on any given shifts. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke and high noise levels. Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel. Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. Work indoors and outdoors be exposed to various environmental factors.
