We are currently looking to fill a fulltime Part 107 Pilot position with someone who can operationally execute on customer projects while keeping safety at our core.
Summary: Responsible for performing safe operations of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) for both Visual Line of Site (VLOS) and Beyond Visual Line of Site (BVLOS) missions. The Senior Pilot is also responsible for maintaining, evaluating and improving NUAIR's enterprise UAS Service Supplier (USS) system. Additional, this role will directly participate in planning and execution of client projects including flight operations and consultation for program development and training. The Senior Pilot will report to the Chief Pilot.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Maintain operational flight proficiency on all required UAS platforms, which includes both manual and automated UAS flight.
Achieve qualification of and act as Mission Crew Commander exercising sound aeronautical judgment at all times while operating sUAS platforms or providing supervision of flight operations.
Evaluate platform airworthiness, operational location viability, and validly analyzes weather conditions for all assigned flight operations.
Maintain, evaluate and improve NUAIR's enterprise UAS Service Supplier (USS) system.
Maintains a high level of situational awareness and knowledge regarding the ongoing evolution within the UAS industry and reports key industry trajectories for company awareness and business development.
6. The Pilot will act as a member of the project delivery team for consultative projects for NY State agencies and public benefit corporations and other public and commercial clients. These projects will require data collection and analysis, development of and consultation on process, procedures, and methodologies, among other project delivery tasks and deliverables.
Maintains working knowledge of company operations policy, company safety processes and incident reporting procedures.
Provides logistical support to clients at various field locations.

Education & Experience
• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred
Operation and Safety Requirements:
As a member of the Flight Crew, any person employed in this position shall maintain a weight not to exceed 250 pounds and shall be less than seventy (70) years old.
Skills
• Pilots must have flown in category for a commercial operator or in the military within the previous 24 months
• Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals and the public and strives to maintain a friendly and professional working environment
Visual Flight Rules (VFR) Program - Minimum Required Flight Times:
• 2000 total flight hours with minimum of 1500 flight hours in category
• 1000 hours PIC in category
• 500 hours of rotor wing turbine time
• 200 hours of cross-country flight time, at least 50 hours of which were at night
• 100 hours unaided night as PIC (50 hours of unaided can be substituted for by 100 hours of NVG time, but cannot be reduced below 50 hours of unaided time)
• 50 hours total actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category (simulator time does not count) (for a RW candidate who is FW rated, 100 hours or greater of FW actual or hood Instrument time can reduce the RW required instrument time to 25 hours).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Commercial & Instrument Rating (for category and class of aircraft)
• ATP rating in category meets this requirement
• First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.

* Bombardier CL-604 Type Certification is required with a minimum of 200 hours in type.
