At Main Event, our Bowl Attendant's set the stage for our Guests by providing a warm welcome and serving as their information source for all activities and specials! As a Bowl Attendant, you're high energy, helpful, and knowledgeable so you can guide our Guest's through the activities we offer to ensure their experience is FUN and memorable. You're an expert in ensuring the bowling experience is exceptional and in using the various systems to successfully perform your job! You're also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?
Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
Welcoming and engaging with all Guests, all while being an ambassador of FUN!
Promoting and recommending activities based on a Guest's needs and activity availability
Troubleshooting and handling lane malfunction calls
Issuing and cleaning bowling shoes; maintaining shoe organization
Escorting Guests to their lane and assisting them with their lane set up and ball selection
Ensuring Guests adhere to all bowling safety standards (gotta play safe!)
Processing payment transactions and welcoming our Guests back
Maintaining a clean and organized Bowl Desk and/or lanes; completing side duties
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Prior food and beverage or retail experience a plus, but not required
Guest focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
Ability to learn and utilize multiple systems that support the business
Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
Availability to work days, nights and/or weekends

DAYS and HOURS: Weekdays between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Weekday evenings between 5:45 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Weekends between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
COMPENSATION: $11.00 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Interest in and basic knowledge of recreation, fitness, and athletics
Positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
Ability to work with general public
Excellent communication skills
Self-starter, a person who will seek out work
Basic computer skills or ability to learn skills needed
Ability to lift 50 pounds independently
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Workers will help with day-to-day operation of the facility ranging from, but not limiting to, set-up and teardowns, cleaning, deskwork, supervision responsibilities and other tasks as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the Recreation Center and adjoining areas during schedules shifts
Represent the Gault Recreation and Fitness Center and the Wooster City School District in a favorable image at all times
Prepare the court and track areas for upcoming usage
Provide membership and program services including sales and registration
Enforce facility rules and regulations
Maintain day-to-day upkeep of the facilities
Orient members to LIFT Zone equipment and procedures
Work closely with the school district, YMCA and Parks and Recreation staff
Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by GRC Manager
