Job Description
The Operational Program Director (OPD) will be responsible for leadership and coordination of the overall programs which work with persons with ID, DD, Mental Health Diagnosis, medical needs and/or persons on the Autism Spectrum. This position is a mixture of both direct care and supervisory duties.
Hours:
Full-time organizational position (may be part-time within any given home). The OPD's schedule must be flexible to accommodate various program, individual, and staff needs.
The OPD is on-call at all times; unless prior arrangements have been made for someone of comparable authority to receive emergency calls.
OPD's are expected to ensure all direct service shifts in their programs are filled by staff who have met Dungarvin conditions of employment and have been adequately oriented and trained to perform their jobs. Occasionally, OPD's will find it necessary to work direct service shifts, but such work should normally not exceed 16 hours per week. If an OPD finds it is necessary to work more than 16 hours of direct service in any work week, he/she must notify his/her supervisor in advance, in accordance with Dungarvin Policy A-02: WAGE AND SALARY DETERMINATION. If notification cannot be made in advance, the OPD is expected to notify his/her supervisor as soon as possible. If schedule adjustment is necessary, arrangements should be made with the director.

This position will work within a 24/7 Residential Crisis Stabilization (RCS) and Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) team to develop and implement treatment plans and services that enable the service recipient to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, personal and emotional adjustment and independent living and community skills. What You'll do as a Mental Health Practitioner:
As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will work with the treatment team in developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment programs for adults experiencing psychiatric instability. You will provide support and services that are rehabilitative and help the recipient to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living skills. Key responsibilities will include:
* Develop treatment plans, functional assessments, individual abuse prevention plans, level of care assessments and discharge summaries and plans, ensuring that they are implemented, reviewed, revised as necessary and reported on as required by licenser/certification standard.
* Encourage consumer empowerment by promoting individual participation in support service development and provide service recipients with mental illness symptom management and relapse prevention skills to enable them to manage their mental illness.
* Safely monitor and guide the activities of each person, taking into account the person's level of behavioral and psychiatric stability, cultural needs, and vulnerabilities.
* Provide supervision, assistance, and training to meet the physical and personal needs of people receiving services (e.g., health, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, socialization).
* Provide appropriate supervision and crisis prevention intervention and resolution techniques, following agency policies and procedures, risk management plans and individual support plans.
* Provide accurate medication administration and documentation in accordance with RSI's policies.
* Assist people receiving services with household responsibilities (e.g. shopping, meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, budgeting, banking) and transportation allowing them to achieve maximum independence based upon individual skills and abilities.
* Respond to the needs, desires and interests of people receiving services through proper review, implementation, and assessment of services, in accordance with the individual treatment support plans.
* Complete thorough and accurate documentation ensuring all documentation is completed within the required time frames.
* Attend trainings and meetings as required by RSI policy and licensing requirements, including weekly team meetings.
For this position, you will need:
* To pass a post-offer background and MVR check
* A valid driver's license with no restriction
You will also need to meet one of the following qualification requirements:
* Have at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related field and 2000 hours of experience with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities; or
* Have at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related field and have completed a practicum or internship that focused on behavioral sciences or related field that required direct interaction with individuals served; or
* Have 4000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities; or
* Have 2000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities and receive treatment supervision at least once per week until obtaining 4000 hours of experience; or
* Have a master's or other graduate degree in a behavioral sciences or related field.

**Qualifications**
+ **Completion of the first year of an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatric residency training program.**
+ **Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.**
+ **Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.**
+ **Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required)**
+ **_Must be comfortable seeing pediatric and adult patients_**
+ **_Must be able to commit to covering at least 10 hours a month, for a minimum of 12 months._**
+ **_Skills required include suturing, splinting, I and D._**
+ **_Preferred qualifications: 1-2 years of urgent care or clinic experience._**

Job Description
The
Operational Program Director (OPD)
will be responsible for leadership and coordination of the overall programs which work with persons with ID, DD, Mental Health Diagnosis, medical needs and/or persons on the Autism Spectrum. This position is a mixture of both direct care and supervisory duties.
Hours:
Full-time organizational position (may be part-time within any given home). The OPD's schedule must be flexible to accommodate various program, individual, and staff needs.
The OPD is on-call at all times; unless prior arrangements have been made for someone of comparable authority to receive emergency calls.
OPD's are expected to ensure all direct service shifts in their programs are filled by staff who have met Dungarvin conditions of employment and have been adequately oriented and trained to perform their jobs. Occasionally, OPD's will find it necessary to work direct service shifts, but such work should normally not exceed 16 hours per week. If an OPD finds it is necessary to work more than 16 hours of direct service in any work week, he/she must notify his/her supervisor in advance, in accordance with Dungarvin Policy A-02: WAGE AND SALARY DETERMINATION. If notification cannot be made in advance, the OPD is expected to notify his/her supervisor as soon as possible. If schedule adjustment is necessary, arrangements should be made with the director.
Qualifications
What Makes You A Great Fit:
· Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or related field is preferred. Candidates need to be a Designated Manager status per 245D licensing requirements in MN.

· Three years' experience supervising staff in the human service field per requirements from 245D Designated Manager qualifications.
· Valid United States Driver's License with acceptable motor vehicle background check per Dungarvin, Inc's policy.
· Valid liability vehicle insurance with reliable transportation.
· Must be able to complete personal cares and be able to lift and transfer.
· Be able to transport persons served in the community.
· Must demonstrate good decision-making, time management and communication skills, and be responsible and flexible.
· Must be at least 18 years of age, some programs require at least 21 years of age per MN requirements for children foster care licensed programs.
