Assign tasks and monitor performance in compliance with project plans. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to crew members. Conduct briefings as needed to review work progress and upcoming tasks. Act as the primary point of contact between the field, Superintendent, and Director of Operations. Troubleshoot issues that arise on-site and collaborate with management to resolve challenges. Maintain detailed records of hours worked, materials used, and project status. Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools and equipment. Coordinate material deliveries and track inventory to prevent shortages. Request additional resources as needed to meet project goals. Ensure work is performed in accordance with Layton Services' policies, and industry standards. Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures. Report and document any accidents, injuries, or safety violations to Layton Services' management. Conduct safety meetings with crew members regularly and as needed. All additional responsibilities as required by the role. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in a foreman or supervisory role in excavation, site work, or related industry. Strong knowledge of construction and on-site construction management principles. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Understanding of GPS and laser guided layout systems. Understanding of construction software for daily reporting and documentation. Understanding of OSHA workplace safety regulations and best practices. OSHA 30-Hour OSHA Trenching and Excavating Card.
