Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities Completes necessary 2 week look-ahead to plan work with Superintendent(s) Understands and enforces company safety policies Conducts daily JSA to recognize safety hazards associated with the daily tasks and educates crews of hazards Provides oversight direction to crews and/or subcontractors Prepares schedules for needed manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors Ensures quality of work performed by crews Works with senior foremen and/or superintendents to complete short interval schedules Completes daily timesheets and field reports Ensures crews are working at maximum efficiency during shift hours and leads by example Inspects incoming materials for quality, accuracy, completeness, and contract compliance Works as part of a team with management, supervision, safety, and other personnel Other tasks as assigned Skills & Requirements Working knowledge and experience with the following pipe/drainage components required: Storm/Sanitary/Sewer Corrugated metal Concrete Fireline HDPE Pipe Trench Boxes for deep excavations Dewatering Box Culverts Headwalls (cast in place and setting) Ability to test water line, sanitary, and manholes Ability to assist in camera inspection Understands plans and specifications Knowledge of safe construction methods and procedures Leadership and management abilities Basic ability to construct (build) Working knowledge of grade checking and understanding of surveying information Good written and verbal communication skills Good organizational skills Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Vocational or construction management training a plus 30 Hour OSHA certification First aid/CPR certification Competent Person training 5-8 years of experience in similar type construction Prior crew and subcontractor management experience Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Join us at Marous Brothers Construction (MBC) as a Pipework Foreman! In this role, you'll oversee all pipework activities on our construction sites, ensuring that projects meet specifications, schedules, and quality standards. Your expertise will be crucial in planning, coordinating, and executing pipework operations, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities: Ensure required materials are delivered on time and layout needs are communicated to the surveyor. Set up work areas to safely perform tasks. Work with the superintendent and general foreman to build utility crews and develop plans for site utilities in coordination with earthwork crews or other contractors. Communicate with vendors and subcontractors related to site utilities, such as aggregate suppliers or municipal suppliers. Maintain a working knowledge of plans, specifications, contractual requirements, and schedules. Provide status updates and communicate any issues with the superintendent and project manager. Ensure the safety of all employees and personnel on site by maintaining compliance with all applicable OSHA and company safety policies and procedures. Responsible for all as-builts and documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Five plus years of previous heavy civil construction experience installing a variety of site utilities, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, waterline, and electric duct banks. Familiarity with a variety of materials and installation methods to ensure installations meet plans and specifications. Ability to read and interpret utility plans, specifications, and local codes. Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Strong organizational and time management skills. Leadership skills with the ability to manage and direct others effectively. Experience setting and checking line and grade for utility installation using various methods, including stakes and cut sheets, pipe laser, and GPS rover knowledge. Why Join MBC?
