Usually, pipe welders don't need a college education. The most common degree for pipe welders is high school diploma with 42% graduates, with only 20% pipe welder graduates earning associate degree. Pipe welders who decided to graduate from college often finish Mississippi College or Central State University. Some good skills to have in this position include carbon steel, mig and hand tools.
