    This position reports to the Gas Operations Manager and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS). The GCCS consists of a series of extraction points known as wells, interconnected via piping. The collected gas is transported using gas conveyance equipment (such as a fan or blower). Landfill gas (LFG) collected by this extraction system from the landfill's wellfield is combusted within a flare. Proper operation of the GCCS is required to comply with various State and Federal environmental regulations. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Properly operate and maintain GCCS in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performance. GCCS operation and maintenance includes: Calibrate, operate and maintain sensitive electronic data collection devices necessary to optimize LFG collection from the wellfield. Collect and manage data entry from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring locations. Implement the GCCS preventative maintenance plan. Operate and maintain liquid management system pneumatic or electric driven pumps (troubleshoot and determine liquid levels within liquid containment structures and or LFG collection wells). Perform wellfield valve/vacuum adjustments, data collection and maintenance; interpret data. Use Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping materials and associated equipment to perform maintenance on piping materials. Complete the WM Landfill Gas Technician I Training. Develop basic understanding of environmental regulations related to GCCS operations and develop the ability to work within an environmentally regulated industry. Follow job related health and safety requirements and procedures. Available for on-call response to GCCS related malfunction event(s). III. Qualifications A. Key performance elements include overall internal and external coordination and communication delivering high quality and efficient installations and achieving overall internal and external customer satisfaction. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Please include % of time for each responsibility) : In conjunction with the District Installation Manager, responsible for the overall project management and installation of capital equipment for our customers from beginning to completion: Participate in Equipment Planning Meetings (EPM) to provide updates to the team on project progress and solutions to issues that arise. Update the Primary Project Management Software (Trello) which includes taking project notes and pictures to ensure the system is current and contains the information required for an installation. Responsible for all documentation relevant to installation checklist or delegate to appropriate TSM. Assist in selection of installation teams per project. Serve as the primary point of contact for designated large capital equipment installations; meet with the sales representative and contractor at initial job site meeting; and monitors progress through job completion. Obtain and review all plans and spec sheet information and provides direction to tradesman. Review all equipment orders to ensure accuracy of required accessories. Determine project job site readiness prior to HSD installation. Coordinate equipment delivery details which includes but is not limited to: ensuring the construction site is ready; communication with all 3PLs; and ensures each delivery is correct. Attends project kick-off and go live date meetings and events. Acts as primary contact with contractors and suppliers as it relates to the build-out and installation projects. Communicate with customer and District Installation Manager on the installation progress. Escalate issues to Installation Manager as required. Owns the overall project punch list to completion. Review with customer the proper use and care of equipment, which includes walk-through of installation guides when appropriate and coordinates initial third-party training when required. Handles Disconnect/Reconnect assessment to determine man hours and need for additional trades for projects. Backup to Equipment Specialist (ES) for Shielding Plan Site Spec. Assist District Installation Manager in risk management claims or other installation issues.     This position reports to the Gas Operations Manager and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS). The GCCS consists of a series of extraction points known as wells, interconnected via piping. The collected gas is transported using gas conveyance equipment (such as a fan or blower). Landfill gas (LFG) collected by this extraction system from the landfill's wellfield is combusted within a flare. Proper operation of the GCCS is required to comply with various State and Federal environmental regulations. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Properly operate and maintain GCCS in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performance. GCCS operation and maintenance includes: Calibrate, operate and maintain sensitive electronic data collection devices necessary to optimize LFG collection from the wellfield. Collect and manage data entry from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring locations. Implement the GCCS preventative maintenance plan. Operate and maintain liquid management system pneumatic or electric driven pumps (troubleshoot and determine liquid levels within liquid containment structures and or LFG collection wells). Perform wellfield valve/vacuum adjustments, data collection and maintenance; interpret data. Use Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping materials and associated equipment to perform maintenance on piping materials. Complete the WM Landfill Gas Technician I Training. Develop basic understanding of environmental regulations related to GCCS operations and develop the ability to work within an environmentally regulated industry.
