OVERVIEW
Join our team as a Process Mechanical Drafter!
This is a role based out of our Denver office, in Westminster, CO. The position is a salaried role and includes eligibility for overtime pay.
Matrix is seeking entry-level drafting professionals to join our team in Westminster, CO. Ideal candidates for this position will have a solid foundation of experience with CAD-based software and a strong aptitude for learning. Good written and oral communication skills, desire to grow and expand in experience, and willingness to learn cross discipline design are required for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Works in a safe manner at all times. Adheres to both Matrix and client-established safety standards when appropriate.
Perform design and engineering functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.
On small projects, interface with the client as necessary to obtain and communicate project information related to project design parameters, schedules, and budgets.
Prepare and maintain project documentation to include proposal, project log record, Work Breakdown Structures Report (WBS), memos, letters, meeting minutes, scope changes, and associated documents.
Gather field data and prepare project specifications.
Coordinate design activities of other team members in preparation of the construction documents.
Prepare construction scopes of work, bills of material, specifications, cost estimates, and other necessary construction documents for projects.
Maintain and/or develop positive client relationships on projects assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree (AAS) or Certificate in CADD software, or related field required.
Entry-level to two (2) years of experience in the industrial design arena.
Proficient with AutoCAD - preferred.
Proficient in Revit.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without employer sponsorship.
