Founded in 1946, P&E Constructors has cultivated a long history of reliable and innovative service to industrial clients nationwide.
The Farnham family began the Piping & Equipment Company in 1946, as a union-signatory, self-performing mechanical contractor focused on heavy industrial construction.
Farnham, who took over ownership of P&E from his father, R.F. Farnham, in 1974, will remain with the company and oversee its industrial group division.
At P&E, he says he'll be doing many of the same things he did at his first job in 1979 with Litwin Engineers & Constructors as a senior instrument engineer, including project design.
He stayed at Litwin, which was involved in the design and construction of refineries and chemical plants in North America, until 1985.
In 2001 he left Koch to join John T. Arnold Associates Inc. as a business broker.
Purchased by the Wadsworth family in 2002, P&E Constructors was family-owned for its first 60 years.
In 2016, ownership was transferred to P&E’s employees, through an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).
2022: Moved into our newly built Corporate Offices.
