Required Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.

0-2 years of relevant experience (co-op, internship, or academic projects involving machine design are highly valued).
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, specifications, and weldment/fabrication details.

POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mechanical Designer III plays a key role in the successful execution of projects, focusing primarily on the production of AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit drawings. The Mechanical Designer III is responsible for producing quality construction documents and coordinating design work with other engineering disciplines. Role accountabilities:
Assist in developing conceptual layouts at the start of the project.
Create and maintain mechanical 3D Revit models for each project.
Create, monitor, and/or review preliminary and detailed design drawings.
Assist in the development of conceptual cost opinions (i.e. quantity take-offs) and possibly other engineering related.

Required Qualifications
4 years of experience with mechanical drafting/modeling for buildings or water/wastewater treatment design and construction projects.

Full time college student at the Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level by the end of Spring 2026.
Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent program.
Must have 3.0 or higher GPA.
Must be eligible to legally work in the US without sponsorship
Knowledge of the basic principles and methods used in chemical plant manufacturing and analyses.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
Able to build relationships across all organizational lines.
Excellent computer skills; especially proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
