Ensure ongoing evaluation of curriculum implementation * Process hiring of classified substitutes along with maintaining files and notifying substitute caller * Serve as district Title IX coordinator * Interpret and administer the certified union contracts and board policies of the district as they pertain to employees * Work to find and apply for grant programs * Participate in negotiations with bargaining units * Maintain and issue annual seniority list * Collaborate with Treasurer and Accounts Payable on annual Tuition Reimbursement program for certified staff * Maintain personnel records and files * Assist the Superintendent with ensuring the district complies with state and federal mandates, policies, and procedures * Participate in labor/management issues and investigations, including hearing/grievance processes * Assist with the development of, and implementation of, the district strategic plan Other Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent Qualifications: * Masters degree in educational administration * Valid superintendent's license issued by the state of Ohio department of education * Successful experience as a teacher and administrator * Successful completion of criminal background check * Multitasking ability and strong interpersonal skills * Promote high moral character and maintains high level of ethical behavior Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Collaboration skills: ability to work effectively with others * Communication skills: ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing - effective active listening skills * Organizational and problem solving skills * Strong knowledge of Ohio curriculum * Strong technology skills * Excellent attention to detail Additional Working Conditions: * Occasional operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions, i.e., being prepared to come to work on all scheduled work days * Occasional requirement to travel * Occasional evening/weekend work as directed by the Superintendent * Frequent necessity to meet deadlines and work under time constraints This job description is subject to change and in no manner states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by the incumbent.
