The Supplier Tooling Engineer will be responsible for Supplier Tooling strategies and quotations, while working with Product Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing Engineering to optimize part design and tooling strategies to reduce cost, improve quality and add value. Responsibilities include:
Supplier Tooling for Stampings, Castings, Cold Forming, Spring Winding, Welding and Plastic components
Ensure suppliers are compliant with Inteva Products' Supplier Tooling processes, procedures, and forms
Maintain accurate tooling records in the Inteva Tooling Database
Communicate effectively with others utilizing appropriate methods including conference calls, e-mail, visits to ensure proper exchange of information
Support Purchasing with supplier tooling quotes to ensure proper labor and machine rates are used per region
Annual cost savings activities and opportunities
Review supplier tooling refurbishment request and support sale activities to retrieve funds from the customer
Support tool audits per customer requirements
Support tool transfers to new suppliers
