Innovate.** We actively look for prospects who: - Are passionate about client success. - Enjoy collaborating with others. - Strive to exceed expectations. - Move boldly in the quest for superior and best in market solutions. **Job Description:** **Join our team and earn $30.00 per hour!** **Pitney Bowes is hiring for a CDL A Truck Driver IV for our Grove City, OH facility.** Shift details: **11am - 7pm -** **Monday through Friday** **(schedule subject to change; some flexibility required)** **What We Offer:** + $30.00 per hour plus overtime + Local Deliveries and Pick-Ups + Weekly Pay + Medical, Dental, Vision and 401k Benefits + Driver Referral Program + Daily Home Time + Clean, Late Model Tractors and Trailers + Minimal Freight Handling **You will:** + Communicate with the Transportation Supervisor or Manager and the Operations Team regarding any special, late or missing pickups, and forward the information to the drivers + Coordinate with production to ensure the mail is dispatched on time and ensure that all transportation tasks are completed + Review pick up slips for USPS supplies and communicate supply requests to the drivers; verify physical container counts to accompanying customer pick up slips + Inspect assigned vehicle per the PBPS pre-trip inspection guidelines and procedures daily, and report any defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor to be fixed immediately + Recommend measures to improve the performance of the transportation department + Ensure the mail is reviewed for proper dates, presort slugs and a pickup slip are attached with each order prior to loading on the truck + Ensure all drivers are compliant with DOT regulations; assist in maintaining DOT files + Maintain a daily vehicle inspection report + Maintain a daily driver's log or route sheet for mileage and cargo + Ensure USPS equipment is used only for the movement of "Live" mail + Return client damaged or undeliverable mail, following internal handling procedures for damaged secured mail + Use all required cell phone applications + Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle assigned + Assist in Quality Control or Barcode department between assigned pickups + Fill in for drivers on any shift on any day of the week with little or no prior notice + Keep work area clean by ensuring mail bins are under machines or in APC's, plastic straps are off floor to prevent possible tripping hazards, and sweeping the floors between assigned pickups or deliveries, and all other duties as assigned + Demonstrate safety and security precautions and follow company policies + Regular scheduled attendance As a **Lead Driver** , you have: + Valid state motor vehicle operator's license in state where driver resides (CDL Class A) and meet applicable DOT requirements for CDL + Minimum of six months verifiable experience driving a tractor trailer (semi) truck with safe driving record + Minimum age, 21 + Ability to drive any company vehicle + Ability to operate a vehicle in compliance with Hours of Service regulations and company hours-worked program + Ability to maintain a safe, courteous driving record + Ability to work with minimum supervision + Knowledge of USPS regulations and mailing standards + Basic understanding of production processes and mailing separations + Ability to prepare reports and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employees in a professional and courteous manner + Ability to communicate with Center Receiving any mail concerns such as missing pick up slips, incorrect documented container count, or any other quality concerns noted + Ability to understand and execute all driver quality procedures outlined in the TQM program + Ability to read a map and understand directions + Must have the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice + Ability to maintain delivery and pick up schedules, meeting deadlines + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished orally or in writing + Ability to solve basic problems that arise in the transportation environment + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations + Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records **Our Team:** Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS .
