Responsibilities
This position offers the opportunity to work in our dedicated global real estate team, focusing on global business unit to deliver best-in-class fundraising and transaction execution for our clients.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Origination
* Assist with the origination of new business (e.g., commingled funds, joint ventures, investment clubs, and real estate operating platform, portfolio, and asset-level recapitalizations);
* Participate in prospective opportunity calls and meetings;
* Lead internal due diligence and underwriting for prospective mandates;
* Analyze and assess feasibility of potential transactions, including pricing, assumptions on go-forward projections, and exits on asset-driven recapitalization mandates.
Project Management (GP Advisory)
* Coordinate the overall capital raising process and timeline for each mandate;
* Prepare materials and financial underwriting to support investor marketing;
* Advise GP on optimal structuring to meet both client goals and maximize investor appeal;
* Respond to prospective investor diligence questions, develop tailored valuation analysis and build bespoke scenarios, as applicable;
* Integrate indicative offer terms into financial models to assess returns;
* Lead dialogue with GP to keep apprised of investor feedback/interest.
Investor Distribution Support
* Support our dedicated real estate investor coverage team ("distribution bankers"), as a subject matter expert;
* Support distribution bankers in investor meetings;
* Organize global investor roadshows.
Ad Hoc Projects
* Support PJT Park Hill project management team across strategic initiatives, including GP market mapping, peer benchmarking, and internal performance analytics;
* Contribute to firmwide efforts such as corporate-level reporting, strategic planning, and cross-functional support.
Qualifications
PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:
* 4-6 years of relevant experience in real estate within real estate private equity, real estate investment banking, real estate brokerage, or with an institutional investor or investment consultant;
* Bachelor's or master's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration or related field;
* Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills;
* Proficiency in building and operating asset and vehicle valuation models;

Expected annualized base salary of $200,000 to $250,000.
This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate's relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
Base salary is one component of PJT Partners' compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners' compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.

As a division of PJT Partners, the Private Capital Solutions practice is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions since the team's founding in 2008. Primary Responsibilities:
We are looking for a senior technical, hands-on specialist to handle the coordination of testing and release process for the Fixed Income pricing and risk modelling libraries and reference data. This is a challenging and high-profile role which spans the end-to-end software development cycle (SDLC) - including managing source code branches, preparing and delivering release candidate builds into testing, and working with QA, IT, trading desk strategists, and production support teams through the test cycle to sign-off, integration into consumer applications, and release. Located in New York, this role is a critical point of contact for desk strategists, technology and QA colleagues in that timezone, maintains continuity of SDLC activities in Follow the Sun model in a global release management team with colleagues in India and London.
The successful candidate will also help with improving our automated build, release, integration and testing infrastructure covering the entire SDLC across several million lines of C++, Java, and Scala source code. This will include configuration of Jenkins jobs, source code management tooling, and supporting trading desk strategists' use of development environment.
Most of the Fixed Income portfolio is valued and risked using these pricing and risk modelling libraries, which are used by many varied applications throughout the firm and have multiple inter-dependencies. This requires that we build the libraries in a consistent manner on multiple different platforms, and integrate them into the varied application landscape, which is itself constantly changing. Our ability to patch, test and release new functionality within hours if not minutes can be critical to our success as a business, and the successful candidate will be critical to helping us achieve this.
Qualifications
Essential:
extensive experience as hands-on release manager, testing, or application support specialist, preferably in financial services
extensive experience with git and its use in support of feature and release branching strategies, patching, release notes management
extensive experience of managing testing cycles, bug tracking, stakeholder communication, release prioritisation, change management
extensive experience of using Jenkins, BitBucket and effectively using these to build release candidates and optimise build automation flow
experience of writing scripts (eg in python) for tasks such as promotion and propagation of artifacts, generation of release notes, custom SDLC actions
experience of working in a globally distributed team
Desirable:
some development experience in Java or C++ so as to be able to read source code to conduct code mergers and conflicts, update test baselines

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $160,000 and $250,000 for Vice President at commencement of employment. Program Description:
As a division of PJT Partners, the Private Capital Solutions practice is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions since the team's founding in 2008. The practice is fully integrated within the broader PJT Partners' platform, leveraging the firm's global relationships to deliver superior results across the private capital universe. Our highly specialized team focuses on delivering independent secondary advisory and execution services to financial sponsors and institutional investors across a broad spectrum of strategic GP- and LP-led transactions including:
* Financial Sponsor Solutions: continuation funds, fund recapitalizations, fund restructurings, tender offers, preferred equity / other debt-oriented solutions, management team spinouts and portfolio asset sales
* Structured Liquidity Solutions: securitizations, refinancings of illiquid financial holdings and joint ventures
* Institutional Investor Solutions: divesture of private fund interests, valuation of private fund interests, transaction structuring and execution support
Responsibilities:
Summer Analysts are expected to be involved with the development, marketing, structuring and closing of transactions and regularly attend client and internal meetings, negotiations and due diligence sessions.
Summer Analyst work will include:
* Financial analysis and modeling
* Drafting of client presentations
* Preparation of memoranda for internal and external use
* Conducting financial and other business related research
* Coordinating complex and often time sensitive processes
* Active involvement in client facing roles
* Assistance in the execution of transactions
Qualifications:

Expected annualized base salary of $120,000.
This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate's relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
Base salary is one component of PJT Partners' compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners' compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives, and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
